Throughout Pitri Paksha, I prepared rice balls with black sesame seeds for my ancestors, consecrated them, and offered them to my ancestors.
I played mantras for the ancestors, addressed them in my heartfelt prayer, and performed dandavat.
Also, during the five-day Intensive on the Ancestral Line, before going to sleep I would ask what was most important for me to do at that moment and what I should pay attention to.
Then I dreamed that I was feeding guests. Upon waking, I realized that they were people who had already passed away, but not relatives.
I understood the message of the dream and carried it out.
At the very beginning of honoring my ancestors, I managed to restore the full names of my grandfather and grandmother on my father’s side, as well as those of my aunts and cousins.
My observations during this period.
Every day, thought-forms and insights came to me, as if I were delving into karmic connections and consequences.
It was not about looking for someone to blame, but about putting together the pieces of a puzzle so I could understand what was happening. Every day, a new thought-form came to me—for example, what a particular event that I had already forgotten had meant for me.
During this period, it was as if I had met my shadow. It was exciting, but I am very happy to learn my truth. I also received support and consolation through reminders of my sincere actions, which I had also forgotten.
I came to understand the meaning of “detachment”—not external, but inner detachment. Not being guided by the false ego, which leads to resentment, misunderstanding, and condemnation.
I remembered Jesus’s phrase: “Love your enemies.”
I am very I am grateful to my lineage and ancestors for their help and support, and for their guidance!

I’d like to share a little about my experience of going through the Pitri Paksha period. This year, I took part in the Family Line–Parents–Relationships intensive, prepared rice balls with black sesame for my ancestors for the first time, completed an Alpha session, and listened to “Initiation from the Guardian of Your Family Line” several times.
I’ll briefly describe what happened with my offering to my ancestors. On the 10th, I got up, bathed, cooked the rice balls, added a little milk and sugar, and rolled them in black sesame. On a sheet of paper, I drew my family tree as far back as I could remember; it came to four or five generations. I placed an icon, lit a beeswax candle, set out a glass of water and the rice balls, and placed my A4 sheet with the family tree beside them. First, I addressed God and asked Him to accept my offering, then I invited my ancestors to partake of it. I got distracted, and when I happened to turn toward my shelf, I saw that the sheet with my family tree was gone—it had burned up. Only ashes remained on the shelf, and the beeswax candle was still burning. Nothing else was damaged. That was quite an unexpected experience. My first thought was that my ancestors had been so hungry that they accepted my gift instantly, but perhaps my mind simply came up with that explanation. I’d be interested to hear your thoughts on this.
During the day, I had a lot of trips around the city, and it turned out that feeding stray animals or birds is not an easy task. Previously It has happened that I came across hungry animals and could go into a shop and buy something specifically for them. I also simply encountered dogs and cats roaming freely, and I relied on them. But this time, I gave some of the rice balls to a flock of sparrows that were tearing apart a bread roll. I put the balls next to the bread roll and walked away. I gave another portion to pigeons in the city, in the central square. In the evening, I put the remaining balls on some firewood next to my house, where birds live nearby; the balls had disappeared by morning.
I successfully received the Alpha session in a dream—I held on, but then fell asleep.
Now, about my insights. I can definitely say that, gradually, year by year, my relationships with my children and parents are improving. This year, I very deeply understood the pain and worries of my parents, who live very far away from me, when I myself went to visit my children, who now also study in another city. My head was filled with so many grateful thoughts about my parents. I completely saw my parents in my own attitude toward my children: I was repeating their care, their guidance, and their help. And the children have become gentler; my relationships with my once prickly teenagers have grown warmer, with more closeness and understanding.
