The point of this invention in global medicine is that, while awake, you use neither glasses nor daytime lenses, and still see well.

The effect of night lenses is reversible. In other words, you can simply stop wearing them at night, and everything will return to the way it was within 2–3 days.

For example, it was −7. A year later, it became −6.5.

Or consider this situation: vision was worsening by −1 diopter every year. When wearing night lenses, it stopped getting worse.

I got night lenses this year. Before that, I had a consultation with an ophthalmologist, underwent an eye examination, and filled out a questionnaire about the presence of various illnesses. Thank God, I have none of them, but the doctor warned me that night lenses may not suit every adult—it is individual, and you have to try. I have had a stable prescription of -3 since school, plus astigmatism. Therefore, selecting the lenses took some time because of my eye’s individual characteristics.
The first night was extremely uncomfortable, since previously I had only used glasses while driving, and the very presence of something foreign in my eye was stressful. But the result was gratifying—in the morning I drove without glasses, and it was wonderful to see clearly. However, there was one catch: during the adaptation period, I experienced severe pressure in my head and watery eyes for several days in a row. At first I attributed it to a sleepless night caused by nervousness, but then they explained that adaptation can take place during the first week. Here again, everyone is different, and it depends on many factors, right down to how correctly the lenses are fitted. I also spent a week struggling painfully to remove the lenses from my eyes. I turned out to be a real coward, so I used a remover tool (a stick with a cup on the end), somewhat like a plunger. It was more convenient for me to take them out that way, but at first I suffered to the point of tears because of my fears. That’s just me, though; most people have more resilient nerves.)
The doctor said that vision correction with night lenses is best suited to a growing organism. Children really do show improvement. An acquaintance’s daughter has a congenital eye disease and a strong negative prescription, but night lenses noticeably improved her vision. However, another neighbor’s son wore them for 6 years, and there was no improvement at all.
At the clinic, I was warned not to expect a miracle in terms of restoring 100% vision, since adults supposedly cannot achieve that because of their age)), but as always, I want to prove the doctors wrong).

In any case, the doctor herself said that wearing night lenses is better than eye surgery when the prescription is not severe.
