Charisma (from Ancient Greek χάρισμα — a gift from God — “anointing”) is a person’s ability, intellectually, spiritually, or in some other respect, to appeal to the “hearts” of other people.
A charismatic person is someone gifted by God.

It is noteworthy that one of the principal names of God in Vedic culture is Harí.
There are many mantras and bhajans featuring this name of God.
For example, many people are familiar with the word harinama. It means the Name of Hari. A more complete translation is: repetition of the Name of God as a separate and most ancient spiritual practice. If a Guru had told his disciple 5,000 years ago, “Go and practice harinama,” the disciple would have known exactly what to do.
There is also the term hari-bhajan, in which the name of Hari is sung to music.
I will go even further and say that the word charisma was definitely derived from the word Hari.
