The sidereal and tropical Zodiacs slowly shift relative to each other because of precession, which moves the point of the vernal equinox relative to the fixed stars by 1 degree every 72 years. As a result, the Aries point of the tropical Zodiac will soon move into the sign of Aquarius in the sidereal Zodiac. Thus, the vernal equinox point passes through one 30-degree sidereal sign in 2,160 years; this period is called an age. The vernal equinox point completes a full 360-degree cycle in 25,920 years. The movement of the equinox point relative to the stars (precession), which causes these Zodiacs to diverge, was discovered by the Greek astronomer Hipparchus around 130 BC.

Classical European astrology deals only with the tropical Zodiac. The sidereal Zodiac is used in Indian astrology. The difference between the beginning of the sidereal sign of Aries and the vernal equinox point is called ayanamsha. The fixed star Spica at 0°00' Libra should be regarded as the starting point, and this system has been adopted by the Indian government as the official astrological approach.

And as you know, I was born under the Chitra nakshatra, which is formed precisely by the star called Spica.

I also told you about Chitra here — HERE. Very interesting; have a read.

The maximum possible shift (ayanamsha) is about 50 degrees. It is currently about 24 degrees.

An amazingly convenient astronomical service, thank you, Om Shanti!
I use it regularly when planning activities. If the day is unsuitable, I cancel some of my plans.
It would be great if there were a monthly calendar displayed as one interactive image, like a wall calendar. You take one look and immediately see the whole picture: when Ekadashi is, when there are empty hands, and when the best day is.🌸

At this point, I have converted lunar days to the Vedic calculation system everywhere. It is also used at the top of the School.

This system is based on degrees, not on moonrise in one time zone or another.

Tithi (unit of time) — Wikipedia

This makes life much easier for those who follow the ancient Vedic culture more closely and observe Ekadashi.

Today is the 28th solar day (the most critical of all solar days) and, at the same time, the 29th lunar day (the most unfavorable of all lunar days). Be careful!

After all, this is not a bad day in every respect; it is good for getting rid of old, unnecessary attitudes. On this day, you can rid yourself of the burden of the past, of grievances that torment the soul, practice forgiveness, and let go of everything that pulls you back into the past. This is the last day of the lunar month (with rare exceptions; sometimes there are 30 days). Then the first day of the month begins, on which you must lay the foundation for the new month. Therefore, this day has many advantages: if you want to start a new life, let go of the old, and the 29th lunar day is ideally suited for this. Do not miss this opportunity!

Om Shanti, I noticed that the information about the astro-days does not include the start and end times.
It only says what day it is today, but not when it begins or ends. It seems that this information disappeared when the time was switched to UTS.

Just as a lunar day in Vedic astrology differs somewhat from a lunar day in Western civilization, the way a person’s age is counted also differs.

For example.

A child is born. The child turns 4 months old.

What would the Western approach say?

It would say that the child is 4 months old.

But the Vedic approach would say that this child is 1 year old.

Even when a child has just been born, they are already 1 year old.

That is, they have already entered this year. Like entering a room.

Let me put it more clearly.

Suppose a person’s lifespan consists of 100 rooms.

A person enters the first room. That means they are in the first room. You cannot enter a room just a little or partially.

Therefore, when a person is born, they are 1 year old.

That year passes. Once one year and one day have passed, they become 2 years old—not one year and one day old.

It is very important to know this if you do not want to make a mistake when, for example, reading ancient texts on Vedic Astrology or listening to genuine Astrologers.

Otherwise, you risk being off by an entire year.

Use: Time Calculator

You can watch the video:

By the way, by watching this video, you can also learn about the activation of Jupiter at the age of 24.

You can learn how to create a Jyotish horoscope, for example, at my Ashram—HERE.

Let me give an example using myself.

I was born on July 2, 1971.

When will I turn 2?

Simply add 1 year and 1 day.

Screenshot_1.jpg

Not 2 years old! But 1 year old.

And you can see that, according to Vedic astrology, I will turn 2 on July 3, 1972.

You simply add one year less.

Now I will calculate when Jupiter became activated for me (see the video).

On July 3, 1994.

Jupiter is a very important planet.

Recall what happened to you during this period. It was often some kind of turning-point change in life, and frequently a spiritual one.

But this method can be used as a forecast!

And it works very accurately.

For example, I have already turned 24, while someone else may still have this age ahead of them. You can know that when this person turns 24, Jupiter will become activated for them (and I repeat: these are not Western 24 years, but Vedic ones!).

There are similar forecasts for every year of life, including ages 30, 50, and beyond.

And these forecasts are often very accurate.

This is called Bhrigu Nadi Astrology. It is simpler than other forms of Jyotish.

In the chart, you only need to look at the ruler of the house where, for example, Jupiter is placed, as in my case. It can tell you a great deal. But first, the horoscope needs to be created.

Om Shanti, it seems to me that I am making a mistake when calculating UTC time. Please clarify: if my UTC is +10 and today’s lunar day begins at 10:16, should I add +10 to this time or subtract it? I have reread the information many times, and each time I understand it differently—there is simply some confusion in my head 🤦

Om Shanti, it seems to me that I am making a mistake when calculating the time in UTC. Please clarify: if my UTC is +10 and the lunar day begins today at 10:16, should I add +10 or subtract it from this time? I have reread the information many times, and each time I understand it differently; there is simply some confusion in my head 🤦
For example, I live in Oryol. My time zone is UTC+3.

I found out that according to UTC, on a certain day (for example, March 11), the 14th lunar day begins at 12:00.
This means that when it is 15:00 in Oryol, the 14th lunar day will begin.

I especially want to emphasize the idea of the Vedic lunar day (and actual astrology), which begins simultaneously across the entire Earth.

That is, do not think like this: "The lunar day began at 11:00 in Oryol, and at 8:00 in London." As though these were two different events. As though Oryol were on one planet and London on another.

These are incorrect thoughts.

That is not what I am doing all this for.

You need to think in a way that expands cosmic consciousness:

"The lunar day will begin instantly and simultaneously across the entire Earth; it is simply that the clocks at different points on Earth will show different readings. But the cosmic event will occur for everyone at the same point in time."

For example:

"The 11th lunar day will begin instantly and simultaneously across the entire Earth when it is 8:00 UTC. At that same time, the clocks in Oryol will show 11:00."

The difference in consciousness is enormous when you think this way. And this is the correct way to think.

Well, now everything is clear.
With respect to Oryol compared to London, it is minus three, and with respect to London compared to Oryol, it is plus three!

Thank you, Om Shanti, for such a detailed analysis.
I understand that I still understand very little, but already now—for example, today—knowing that it is the 28th solar day, which is critical, I am listening to an Avestan protective mantra through headphones. I am not listening to the Ahu Vairya mantra yet because of difficulties accessing it (I will think of something in the future).

The Moon's charms worked thoroughly on people's consciousness in their time.
They made the sacred shameful and changed the way time was reckoned from the Sun to the Moon. They shifted the beginning of reckoning from the time of rebirth to the time of darkness.
Many words, while retaining within them the code of an action, changed their meanings. Instead of education, growing up, and learning, the word DEVELOPMENT is used today (analysis, breaking something down into parts). A nest can be woven—created; it can also be developed—destroyed.
I am reading the Bible, the Book of Joshua, chapter 8, verse 34: And he read all the words of the law, the blessing and the curse, as it is written in the Book of the Law... before the men, women, children, and foreigners who were among them.
Here is the word "foreigner." And my imagination began playing with images of visitors from other worlds.

At school, they taught us astronomy in the 10th grade; I only became acquainted with astrology at the age of 60. My entire life had already been mapped out at the moment of my birth.

Important Jyotish and astronomical events for the next 30 days
from July 5 to August 4, 2026

The next 30 days look less like a time of sudden upheavals and more like a period of inner restructuring, returning to unfinished matters, and gradually moving onto a new course.

The main theme of this month is to first sort things out, correct and review them, and only then launch something important. This is especially connected with Mercury, which during the first half of the period still carries the energy of returning, reviewing, correcting mistakes, revisiting old agreements, and completing unfinished conversations.

The second important theme is the Sun’s transition into the sidereal sign of Cancer. This strengthens themes of home, family, inner security, care, emotional balance, and spiritual support. In simple terms, the month gradually shifts attention from external bustle toward a person’s inner home.

The third strong point is the end of July, when the Sun conjoins Jupiter, with a full moon occurring nearby. This may bring a sense of great meaning, expansion, inspiration, and a desire to learn, teach, share knowledge, and make important decisions. But there is also a warning here: do not promise more than you can realistically deliver.

ChatGPT_Image_5_июл_2026_г_14_10_17_compressed_300kb.jpg

The Overall Picture of the Period
If we imagine the entire month as a journey along a road, the first part resembles returning to an old crossroads. You need to look at where you took the wrong turn, which conversation remains unfinished, which document needs revision, and which thought has not yet matured.

From July 6 to 14, a period of restoration and review is underway. The Sun enters the Punarvasu nakshatra, which is associated with return, renewal, and recovery after an inner storm. This is a good time not for a sudden start, but for restoring order.

On July 7, Mercury retrogradely returns to Gemini. This intensifies themes of communication, correspondence, learning, information, travel, documents, and negotiations. It is better not to rush into final decisions. Check texts, letters, agreements, addresses, dates, and promises. During such periods, Mercury likes to arrange little tests of attentiveness. Not a malicious examiner, but one with a sly smile.

On July 13, the Sun and Mercury conjoin. This can be viewed as a moment of an internal reboot of thought. Old ideas may resurface, but in a new light. Sometimes it is precisely on such days that a person realizes: “I actually knew the answer long ago; I simply did not want to see it.”

On July 14, the new moon occurs in Punarvasu. This is a gentle new moon of restoration. It is suitable for beginning a new cycle by returning to the right foundation. It is a good time to review plans, restore your routine, return to learning, prayer, meditation, and work with texts and projects that had been postponed.

Mid-July: More Heart, Home, and Inner Support
On July 16, the Sun enters the sidereal sign of Cancer. This is an important turning point of the month. After Gemini’s period of mental activity, attention shifts to feelings, family, home, nourishment, care, and emotional security.

This is a good time to strengthen your inner foundation. Not only your home in the everyday sense, but also the home within yourself: a state in which you can live, think, create, and pray peacefully.

During the same period, Venus enters the Purva Phalguni nakshatra. This adds more gentleness, beauty, creative energy, and a desire for rest, love, warmth, and joy. After dry calculations and tense thoughts, there is a desire simply to exhale and remember that life is not only a list of tasks, but also music, light, taste, touch, and inspiration.

On July 20, the Sun enters the Pushya nakshatra. In Jyotish, Pushya is considered one of the most auspicious nakshatras for strengthening, nourishment, mentoring, learning, and spiritual discipline. This is a good time to create support—in the family, in your work, in spiritual practice, and in learning.

Pushya is not about bustle. It is about quiet strength. Not “jumped—and won,” but “did the right thing every day—and a tree grew.”

Late July: Mercury Turns Direct, Saturn Retrograde, and a Powerful Full Moon
On July 23, Mercury turns direct. This is an important point. Gradually, it becomes easier to negotiate, write, explain, prepare documents, initiate correspondence, learning, travel, and paperwork. But it is better not to expect everything to become perfect instantly. After changing direction, the mind also needs a little time to recover.

During the same period, Mars enters the Mrigashira nakshatra. This brings more movement, searching, curiosity, and a desire to explore. At the same time, restlessness, nervousness, and haste in speech may intensify. It is therefore important to watch your words. At the end of July, words may fly faster than a person can bless them with reason.

On July 26, Saturn turns retrograde in Pisces, in the Revati nakshatra. This is a deeper theme. Saturn turns attention toward debts, obligations, boundaries, fatigue, unfinished matters, and inner maturity.

Revati is associated with completing a journey, guidance, transition, and protection on the road. Therefore, retrograde Saturn here may raise questions: Where am I going? Why am I going there? Am I carrying too much? Is it time to complete something that has been asking to be completed for a long time?

This is not necessarily a difficult period. But it is honest. Saturn does not like theatrical smoke, in general. It comes in, turns on the light, and says: “Well then, shall we see how everything is really arranged?”

July 29 is one of the strongest dates of this period. On this day, the Sun conjoins Jupiter in Cancer, in the Pushya nakshatra. This is a very significant combination for themes of knowledge, mentoring, spiritual growth, family, protection, blessing, learning, and great meaning.

On the same day, a full moon occurs along the Cancer–Capricorn axis. The Sun and Jupiter intensify themes of care, wisdom, and inner faith, while the Moon in Capricorn reminds us of duty, responsibility, structure, and reality.

Therefore, the end of July may bring an important realization: inspiration alone is not enough—it needs form. Faith alone is not enough—it needs discipline. A grand idea alone is not enough—it needs deadlines, resources, and clear support.

This is a good time for teachers, mentors, spiritual practitioners, authors, and people who work with knowledge. Important decisions can be made, but promises should not be inflated. Jupiter offers breadth, but Saturn standing nearby will still ask: “Can you carry it?”

Early August: More Movement, Analysis, and Hidden Depth
On August 1, Venus enters Virgo. The energy of feelings becomes more selective. In relationships, finances, beauty, and creativity, there is more attention to detail. This is good for editing, improving quality, fine-tuning, and working on style, health, and order. But it is important not to slip into fault-finding.

On the same day, Rahu enters the Dhanishtha nakshatra, while Ketu enters Ashlesha. This may intensify themes of rhythm, status, groups, ambitions, social activity, and hidden emotional attachments. In simple terms, externally there may be a desire for more movement and results, while old emotional knots may arise within.

On August 2, Mars enters Gemini. This accelerates speech, correspondence, travel, discussions, arguments, and ideas. It is a good time for active intellectual work, but it is important not to turn conversations into verbal battles. Mars in Gemini sometimes acts as though it has been given a sword, but instead of a sword, it has a keyboard.

On August 3, the Sun enters Ashlesha. This is a nakshatra of subtle psychology, hidden motives, inner strength, attachments, and sometimes manipulation and emotional poisons. The best use of this energy is purification, meditation, honest self-analysis, working with the subconscious, and freeing yourself from old emotional entanglements.

Ashlesha requires inner hygiene. Do not feed suspicion. Do not wind yourself up with thoughts. Do not look for snakes where there is simply a rope lying in the corner.

How to Move Through This Period
Until July 23–24, it is better to focus on reviewing, correcting, restoring, and preparing. This is a good time to work with texts, learning, documents, old projects, correspondence, archives, plans, and unfinished conversations.

From July 16 to 21, it is good to strengthen your home, health, nutrition, family connections, spiritual practice, and inner routine. This is a time of returning to your support.

From July 23 onward, you can gradually pick up speed. After Mercury turns direct, it becomes easier to negotiate, launch communications, and return to active projects. But it is better not to make a sudden leap on the very same day. Let the energy settle first.

July 29 is a powerful date for spiritual practices, prayer, learning, mentoring, strategic decisions, and reflecting on your path. It is a day of great meaning, but also a day of responsibility.

From August 1 to 4, it is useful to fine-tune details, cleanse your space, and analyze relationships, finances, habits, speech, and emotional reactions.

Astronomical Events of the Period
From an astronomical point of view, this period is also interesting.

On July 6, Earth passes aphelion—the farthest point from the Sun in its orbit in 2026. This does not mean that summer becomes colder. The seasons depend not on the distance from the Sun, but on the tilt of Earth’s axis. Yet the event itself is symbolically beautiful: Earth seems to reach its maximum distance in order to see its path more broadly.

The lunar rhythm of the period is as follows:

July 7—the Moon’s last quarter. A time for completion, cleansing, and cutting away the unnecessary.

July 14—the new moon. Well suited for inner adjustment and a new cycle.

July 21—the Moon’s first quarter. Energy begins to build, and the first actions appear.

July 29—the full moon. The culmination of the month, intensifying emotions, clarity, results, and inner contradictions.

There are no eclipses in the next 30 days. But it is important to remember that immediately after this period, on August 12, 2026, a total solar eclipse will occur. And on August 28, there will be a partial lunar eclipse. Thus, the current period can be considered preparatory before the more powerful August eclipse season.

The peaks of the Alpha Capricornids and Southern Delta Aquariids meteor showers are expected on July 30–31. The sky may be beautiful, but the nearly full Moon will interfere with observations. Therefore, it will be difficult to see many meteors. The celestial theater is open, but this time the Moon itself has taken a front-row seat and switched on a spotlight.

The Main Meaning of the Month
This month teaches us not to rush. First, order needs to be restored in our thoughts, words, promises, documents, and plans. Then we need to strengthen the inner home. Only after that should we move toward the greater meaning that will manifest especially strongly at the end of July.

The main formula of the period:

first correct,
then strengthen,
then expand.

Not the other way around.

If you begin expanding without making corrections, you may inflate chaos. If you strengthen without meaning, you may build a sturdy but empty box. But if you combine order, heart, and wisdom, this month can become very beneficial.

The sky will not shout over the next 30 days. It speaks calmly. But for those who know how to listen, a quiet voice sometimes reveals more than the roar of celestial drums.
