A long time ago, I came home after spending some time in another city. I arrived, but there was no work, and I had run out of money. I soon found a job. But before I could receive an advance, I had to work at least a little. It was probably the third day when I left the house where I was working, stepped onto the footpath, and walked along at an unhurried pace. Then I saw a thousand rubles lying there... (Back then, you could still buy quite a bit more with that amount.) I was glad, of course. I can't say that I had earned anything at that moment... In fact, it was probably the opposite... Perhaps someone is watching over us from up there... Personally, I have no doubt about it. They see everyone, after all... So, what does it mean? They helped and supported me, and now: go ahead..! And there will be further support... But apparently, things aren't that simple... Perhaps one has to endure a certain stage, go through something, understand, become aware, live through it, learn a lesson... And since we are being watched over, we are always given hints about what to do so that we can follow our own path without turning aside. We just have to recognize them. Different forces also influence all of this... I think that, to begin with, we need to become more receptive. And then something will start happening
I believe it is very easy to confuse good fortune with something else. For example, if only your house survived a flood, that is good fortune (Purva punya), or if you draw the right question on an exam.
But if you cross the road, even at the proper place, without looking around—that is, without taking every precaution—and you are not hit, though you narrowly avoid being hit, it would be more accurate to call it a warning or a lesson. The Universe is teaching you.
Or if you get into a car accident without serious consequences because of your own lack of focus, excessive self-confidence, ignoring warning signs, rushing, and so on—that is a warning.
I believe that in such cases, the most appropriate thing is not to call it luck or good fortune, which greatly flatters the ego, but to feel grateful that you got off lightly and start reconsidering your actions. In the first case, a person will become more deeply entrenched in their mistakes and delusions; in the second, they have a chance to raise their level of awareness and improve their quality of life.
We are often simply being taught rather than given gifts, but our mind very much likes to distort everything to please the ego.
When circumstances along the way happen to work out favorably in one way or another, the saying “Fortune favors those who take action” is appropriate. If you follow your own path, overcoming obstacles and securing the support of the Higher Powers, then luck and good fortune are the fruits of your own right aspirations and efforts.
A man I know was driving and got into a terrible accident while overtaking at high speed. Not only was he thrown a long way, but he was also pierced right through by some kind of tree trunk. But he survived. Several months in a coma and a long recovery journey. And without the serious consequences that had been expected.
The accident happened when transiting Saturn was passing over his natal Saturn, plus he was going through the Sade Sati period. But his Jupiter aspects that point (his Saturn), and Jupiter, as is well known, is the planet of luck; its aspects are benefic, soften negative karma, and provide protection.
Everyone is amazed at how inexplicably lucky this man was.
A great deal of work done BEFORE they happen. A person (Soul) did a lot, purifying themselves specifically in these areas of life, for example. Or in others, and the Subconscious became so purified that the blockage disappeared somewhere unexpected.
Sometimes things happen quickly, without much effort. But this was work accumulated in past incarnations. In this one, the Soul is merely continuing to develop where some Path has already been traversed.
You may be lucky, as if flying on a Vimana or Vaitmana, in certain areas of life—there it is sufficiently Pure, it seems. And you Know this.
Stellar Souls (those from other stellar systems who are here on Earth) usually remember themselves quickly, why they came here, and Work consciously. Luck and good fortune for them are also assistance from the Higher, whatever form it may take.
Sometimes, in goodness you are lucky in advance...
