How can I view values for a certain period in the past or future?

Enter, for example, your date of birth in the "Date" field to view the data for it.
By default, the "Time zone" field contains the number "0"—for the Prime Meridian (Greenwich). I recommend leaving this field unchanged (always 0) and changing only your local time. For example, it may currently be 10:00 in Oryol, which means that I only need to subtract three hours from 10:00 and enter 7:00 in the Time field. Do not change the time zone.
However, if you wish, you can change the time zone without changing the time itself. Both options are correct.

Basic concepts:

Ayanamsha, also known as: Precession — Wikipedia
Nakshatra — Wikipedia
Tithi (unit of time) — Wikipedia
Yogas are the interaction of planets with one another, between zodiac signs, etc.
Karana is half of a lunar day.
Sun degree — HERE. This is the subtraction of Ayanamsha from the Sun's longitude. This is the position of the Sun in the zodiac signs according to Eastern astrology.

All this data helps you choose the most auspicious time to carry out an important activity or event.

The very first thing you see when calculating on this Mahapurna School page is the position of the Moon. The Moon’s degree in a particular Sign is shown. You will also see the Moon’s Longitude, which is essentially the same thing, but in relation to the line of the Spring Equinox.
The Sun’s Longitude is the position of the Sun in relation to the line of the Spring Equinox.

In Astrology, things are not always so categorical.
Nakshatras speak about characteristics, not shortcomings.

Once again, about cutting your hair:

In ancient times, hair was cut only with consideration for cosmic phenomena and events. This gave people strength.
Our hair was called kosmy (cosmos).
This is consistent with the fact that the Sahasrara chakra, which connects us with the cosmos, is located at the crown of the head.

Lunar days are not the only thing that should be taken into account when cutting your hair.
Moreover, do not rush to get a haircut as soon as one lunar day changes to another. Any transitional period is a tense, critical time. Both when one solar day changes to the next and when one lunar day changes, it is a tense time.

A solar day changes to the next at sunrise.
A lunar day, however, can change at any time during our usual solar day—that is, at moonrise.

I can give you a simple method that will help you easily avoid getting confused by all this complex cosmic information and always know when it is best to cut your hair.

First of all, I always recommend knowing which lunar day it currently is.
Nowadays, this is not difficult, since even watches and phones have this function.

Then simply remember several lunar days: 2, 3, 5, 7, and 10.

Or at least remember just two days after the new moon: the 2nd and 3rd.

It is easy.

After all, you do not get a haircut every week, and many people do not even get one every month.

When you simply feel like getting a haircut, remember the 2nd and 3rd lunar days. Check when they occur—in the program above.

And most importantly, there should be no unfavorable nakshatra or unfavorable weekday during these days, such as Saturday—Saturn’s day—or Tuesday—Mars’s day.

And, of course, do not cut your hair after sunset. During certain transitional periods (of the Sun or Moon—in the program above, by the way, you can see degrees in the signs of the Zodiac; around 0 degrees, these are precisely the transitions, visible for both the Sun and the Moon), as well as during eclipses and the days before and after them.

And, as you already understand, the 2nd and 3rd lunar days are the waxing Moon, which promotes good hair growth.

However, there is a difference between the Western and Vedic calculations of the lunar day.
It is not a significant difference, but it exists. Vedic calculations use the Moon’s position in degrees, whereas the Western calculation uses the time of sunrise in a particular time zone. Therefore, according to the Vedic calculation, the lunar day begins simultaneously across the entire Earth, while according to the Western calculation, it depends on the place of residence (which creates difficulties).

That is why I say: do not rush to get a haircut as soon as you see somewhere that it is, for example, the 2nd lunar day. Wait a couple of hours after it begins.

The Vedic version is more ancient. And it is more suitable for calculating the exact time for haircuts.

Precisely because these two systems differ, I did not mention the first lunar day. It is also auspicious if you determine it specifically according to the Vedic system, as in the program above. According to the Western version, however, you can easily end up during the new moon, which is an unfavorable time.

I added the “Sun Degree” value to the program above.

For example:

Moon: 2°34'14" Sagittarius
Lahiri Ayanamsha: 24°10'51" Moon longitude: 266°45'6" Sun longitude: 47°53'32" Sun Degree: 23°42'40"

The Sun Degree is determined by subtracting the Ayanamsha from the Sun's longitude.

In the example, you can see that the Sun Degree is 23 degrees.

All zodiac signs are divided into 30 degrees. This means that 23 degrees indicates that the Sun is in Aries.
I will repeat that this applies to Eastern astrology. In Western astrology, everything is different.

Accordingly, once the first 30 degrees have passed, the Sun moves into the next zodiac sign.
Which sign comes after Aries?
Correct—Taurus.

When you see the Sun Degree equal to, for example, 62 degrees, this is already the sign after Taurus: Gemini.

In other words, it is simple: as soon as the Sun approaches the end of another 30-degree segment, the sign changes. This can be at 30°, 60°, 90°, 120°, 150°, and so on.

Twelve segments of 30° make 360°, which means the entire Zodiac.

I am writing this as a supplement to my message above, so that you know when the Sun changes signs. This is a time of tension.

As you have probably already understood, one degree of the Sun corresponds approximately to one day.
360 degrees. That is why the Avestan calendar has 360 days. Plus 5 zero days.
Everything is explained in detail in the same place—here.
The only problem is that different cultures use different reference points.
In the program above, the reference point is 0 degrees of the Vedic Aries. That is, these are specific stars—a star.
In Avestan and Western astrology, it is slightly different. There, the year begins on the day of the vernal equinox, which coincides with 0 degrees of the Western Aries.

What is the Vedic Aries?

It is the day of the vernal equinox plus the ayanamsha.
The ayanamsha is precisely the variable that makes it possible to calculate when the Sun enters the actual Aries exactly.

What is the Western Aries?

It is an Aries that does not actually exist in the sky. That is, it is a conventional concept. The day of the vernal equinox simply begins, and regardless of whether the Sun is looking at Aries or not, it is considered to be Aries. In other words, only the name exists. In reality, the Sun is not looking at Aries because precession (ayanamsha) exists, which Western astrology ignores.

But the system itself is called astrology. Astra means star. That is, its essence is the real stars in the sky.

But I have greatly simplified it for you. Therefore, even if you have not studied even the basics of astrology, you will be able to understand it.

Simply setting aside the various traditions, the Lunar New Year begins with the new moon in Pisces.

And yes, of course, this is also in spring.

The only problem is that the date when the new moon occurs in Pisces can vary significantly—even by literally a couple of weeks forward or backward—from year to year.

You always need to determine this date yourself through calculations.

For example, at the very top of this page in the program, you can see:
Moon: 16°26'11" Sagittarius

This means that the Moon is in Sagittarius.

When it is in Pisces and the program says Amavasya (New Moon), that is the beginning of the Vedic Lunar New Year.

You can even calculate for yourself now when it began this year.

This first month is called Chaitra in Sanskrit (or Chitra, after the Chitra nakshatra). It is the first Vedic month. In Vedic culture, all months are lunar. In the past, there were no solar months at all.

The Moon is the soul and the psyche. The Sun is the ego and the body.

However much we may love the Sun, and however dependent life on Earth may be on it, the Moon is still more important. The Moon is the mother. The Sun is the father.

Therefore, when society degenerates, the soul (the Moon) is forgotten.

In Vedic culture, there is no concept of a New Year. There is the concept of Samvatsara. A new Samvatsara begins precisely with the start of the month of Chaitra.
Chaitra (Chitra) translates as radiant, beautiful, and wonderful.

As you know, I was born under the Chitra nakshatra. There are important words from the Vedas: Sat, Chit, Ananda. Being, Knowledge, Bliss.

There is a simple, though not the best, way to determine when the Sun moves into a new sign.
I mentioned above an easy way to remember just a couple of lunar days, so you will always know exactly when it is permissible and auspicious to cut your hair. In other words, I gave the easiest option.

And this is a way to avoid Surya Sankranti (Surya—the Sun; transition), that is, the period when tension increases because the Sun changes signs, bringing change.

So, simply remember that this happens approximately in the middle of the month—our ordinary calendar month. For example, I am writing this message on May 10.
Using this method of determining it, Surya Sankranti will occur by May 15. As a rule, the range is plus or minus two days.

These days are good for engaging in spiritual practices.

I’ll repeat once again: all this applies to Vedic astrology, because Western astrology is somewhat different.
