Day 1 (better late than never).
1. Tension: 6 out of 10.
2. Quality of practice: 80%
3. Main observation: the tension in my abdomen is stronger than I thought.
When the first days of the intensive were posted, I read them but decided not to participate: the specifics of the text and the format, with several small tasks throughout the day, made me very tense. During this time, I became a little better at distinguishing tension in my body and decided to try working with it as part of the intensive after all.
The task of observing tension instead of consciously relaxing it turned out to be very effective for me. I also liked the note that an attempt to relax can turn into work (and, consequently, cause even more tension). Through observation and brief check-ins during the day, I have been able to gradually reduce tension more effectively than through deliberate relaxation when that doesn't work.
Also, over the course of the first day, I managed to uncover several beliefs I was unaware of.
