The story in brief:

• Shanti was born in Delhi in 1926.
• From early childhood, she claimed that her “real home” was in Mathura.
• She gave her husband’s name and described the house, details of daily life, and even the circumstances of her death.
• She said that she had died shortly after giving birth.

When she was about nine years old, she was indeed taken to Mathura—and there they found a family matching her story.
A woman named Lugdi Devi had died in 1925 after giving birth. Shanti recognized her “husband,” relatives, and home.


What happened when Shanti met her husband?

• She recognized him among the other men.
• She spoke to him in a more mature and respectful tone than children normally use.
• She became embarrassed when he tried to behave like her “husband.”

What a coincidence. Just yesterday I rewatched the film "I Origins." It is about reincarnation, which even scientists came to believe in. And the vivid example of the girl Shanti is exactly the same kind of thing—something one can argue about but cannot refute. Because it simply exists.

Yes, I remember this story, as well as many other stories about children and reincarnation. It definitely exists! There is no doubt about it. We have lived many lives, from poverty and orphanhood to wealth; perhaps we may even have been insects. I saw myself as a dragonfly, flying beside a butterfly over a river.
Even if we remember something from the past, it should only be so that we can move forward and not stop.
We know about reincarnation so that we can remember past experience, but it is not always a positive one. The best thing is to live Here and Now, build a higher relationship with God, and develop.
