I wouldn’t be mistaken if I said that the answer to this question concerns all earthlings—or people, humanity... whichever you prefer to call us.

Everyone wants to know, “What is the right thing to do?”... They guess, make predictions, visit psychics, cast cards and runes... So what is the right way? How can we avoid making a mistake?...
The million-dollar question.

I don’t want to present myself as some expert on the Vedas, but I do know a thing or two :)

The Vedas divide everything into sattva, rajas, and tamas. Or no, better yet, I’ll put it this way: tamas, rajas, and sattva. That will make it clearer to you.

And how can we apply this knowledge to what we so eagerly desire? To that “How can I always make the right decisions?”

It’s very simple:

Everyone wants to know, "What is the right thing to do?"... They guess, make predictions, visit clairvoyants, draw cards, cast runes... What is the right way? How can we avoid making a mistake?...

Thank you! Very interesting. When a question comes up, I will definitely try this method and observe what happens. 🙏🌹

Thank you! But could it also be that the first answer that comes to you—the heart is indicating the right one—or is tamas so strong that it disguises itself as the voice of the heart? In any case, it is worth observing. Thank you!

People are greeted by their clothes and seen off by their wisdom :)
You should never trust a first impression unless it is the impression of a child—or of a person who has attained a high level of spirituality or clairvoyance.

Or of a person who has attained a high level of spirituality or clairvoyance.
Om Shanti, for some reason this phrase made me think. Can a person who has not attained a high level of spirituality achieve clairvoyance? For some reason, it seems to me that spirituality and clairvoyance are energies of the same level—that one cannot exist without the other.

Everything comes together at the top of the pyramid.
If someone has achieved perfection in one particular thing, they also reach the summit—even if they have perfected chopping wood, or creating websites, code, scripts...
One must achieve perfection in at least something. Complete perfection.

In my opinion, clairvoyance is a gift, a talent, like, for example, a talent for mathematics, music, and so on. Of course, we can develop these abilities up to our own personal maximum, which varies depending on the individual. We all possess all abilities within us.
And, as is known from numerous examples in literature, it is by no means necessary to have a certain level of spirituality. There are also spiritual people who do not possess clairvoyance. Clairvoyance has many levels and aspects. I recently read the book "Clairvoyance" by Charles Leadbeater and posted excerpts in the Ashram Library. It seems interesting to me as well, not to mention the OM Shanti lessons.

Om Shanti, thank you, a very interesting answer. For some reason, I was carried away along the inner faces of the pyramid; there is certainly something to reflect on.

Vishnudzhaya, I understand what you are talking about, and I have read the excerpts from the book you posted in the Ashram—they were interesting! But recently I have developed my own view on this subject, and, to be honest, it does not exactly trouble me, but rather feels as though there is some kind of contradiction, something that does not add up. Everything is not as it is portrayed in the books.

This method also works wonderfully with what you have done. For example, if you are a creative person, a businessperson, or do something else altogether.
Once you have done something, analyze it on these three levels. The answer will also come with exactly the same “symptoms”.

I have become convinced many times that there is no need to hurry. But the theory from the Vedas is both amazing and simple. Much becomes clear. Thank you.

People are welcomed according to their appearance and seen off according to their wisdom :)
You should never trust a first impression unless it is a child’s impression—or that of a person who has reached a high level of spirituality or clairvoyance.
But I have a real problem. When tamas arrives first, I can run a hundred-meter sprint, and then tamas says, “Everything will be bad.” I clearly know that I shouldn’t make such a decision, but I go against my intuition and do it anyway, and I have already made such a mess of things. I have been waiting for sattva for several years now; I let everything go, and somewhere around the third day, the right thought comes, although, strangely enough, it is sometimes similar to the first one, but the events can turn out positively. I have described everything very superficially, but it isn’t like that—the decisions trouble me, and all of them...

Perhaps when I move to the private club; this is not the right topic for here. This is Om Shanti’s lesson.

Sattva, the answer may indeed come later. It depends on the “weight” (significance) of the request. Sometimes you need to wait three days or even a week.

I always take a long time to make decisions, guided by the rule “measure seven times, cut once”; I hope that means I’m reaching sattva))). I’ve noticed that my spur-of-the-moment decisions are often wrong.

Sorry, a typo... instead of “several years,” it should have said “about three days”......

It turns out that the “One-Day Rule” in decision-making has a clear scientific and Vedic foundation.
Teacher, thank you for the wise, subtle lesson. It takes considerable courage to look sattva in the face once the action has been taken and the choice has been made. To acknowledge that it was a mistake. Your mistake.
That is exactly how I make decisions: different options keep circling around in my head, just as you described. When none of the answers feels right, the only thing that helps is to wait, if the situation allows.

I won't be mistaken if I say that the answer to this question concerns all earthlings, or people, humanity... whatever you prefer to call us.

Everyone wants to know, “What is the right thing to do?”... They consult fortune-tellers, make predictions, visit clairvoyants, cast cards and runes... So what is the right way? How can we avoid making a mistake?...
A million-dollar question.

I don't want to present myself as some kind of Vedic expert, but I do know a few things :)

The Vedas divide everything into sattva, rajas, and tamas. Or no, let me put it this way: tamas, rajas, and sattva. That may be easier for you to understand.

And how can we apply this knowledge to what we desire so intensely? To the question, “How can we always make the right decisions?”

It’s very simple:
*** Hidden text cannot be quoted. ***

The interconnection of the gunas of material nature led me to the original source.
In the Bhagavad Gita, Second Discourse, verse 45, the Lord says: “The Vedas teach about the three gunas; rise above them, remain constantly in harmony beyond the pairs of opposites, indifferent to possessions, filled with the higher Self.
I think that in these words Lord Krishna directly points out to Arjuna that he should leave the three gunas of material nature, remain beyond the gunas, and maintain an even state of consciousness. The Lord points to a direct path toward making the right decision through meditation. By practicing meditation every day, we acquire the qualities of clairvoyance: seeing clearly and thinking clearly, and therefore making the right decisions in life. Meditation is the foundation of clear thinking for me. I meditate every day.
