If we take water as energy—and it does look very much like energy: almost invisible, fluid, somehow special, unlike anything else...
Most people are even sure that water is energy, as am I. Moreover, according to the latest scientific data, water can be used to drive vehicles and can work as fuel.

So, snow is water. Water forms into a ball (a snowball). And it is thrown.

What did people do with energy in ancient times? For example, let us recall some simple energy techniques.

The purpose for which it is thrown is a separate topic. But everything is very similar.

Personally, I find it impossible to explain this by saying that at some point in the course of human evolution, a person happened to look at snow and think, "Let me make a ball out of it and start throwing it..." Just like that, by chance, they came up with it themselves.

Water in itself is a mystical substance. The highest Gods recline upon water and regulate the universe.
And the fact that, besides the three basic states of matter (gaseous, liquid, and solid—steam, water, and ice), there is also snow—magical, pure, white—is astonishing. Snow solves so many problems that you marvel at the very idea and its "Inventor." And snowballs—ESh are a miracle too. Until recently, we used to throw these balls at the Ashram, and there was always a feeling as though you were giving something or receiving a gift. That was the feeling when "You have a snowball..." appeared in the notifications. Thank you, Teacher! It would seem to be a simple thing, a game, but something was happening on the subtle plane too: joy, inspiration, things that were so unexpected and seemingly unplanned.

In general, I have always been amazed by round things. Everything in Space is round; fruits on Earth are round or rounded; drops are round. And all man-made round objects were apparently suggested to humans, as the Teacher says. A wheel, a ring, a ball, a snowball... Even houses are now often built with rounded shapes. The sphere is also one of nature's mysteries.
