Gave her another name—Autumn,
But in response she only laughed,

The same sunsets, and the same dawns,
No, our woman Summer is not sad,
She has not grown old; she has matured,
And instead of folk ditties, she began to sing romances.
Instead of fragrant, sweet raspberries,
She began treating everyone to red rowan berries,
And, remaining just as beautiful,
She now wore a dress made of chrysanthemums.
One wonderful evening,
Having draped a golden shawl over her shoulders,
She appeared in a new guise,
With a name. Autumn… she came to terms with it…

Blue Islands

My daughter
has become fascinated with geography,
This subject
is not on the curriculum.
Madina is in
fourth grade,
But what can you do,
she is fascinated.

the pencil to a fine point,
and shaded the round Aral Sea
