"This is spring fever. That's what it's called. And when you have it—you want... well, you don't quite know what you want; it simply makes your heart beat faster. You want it so badly!" Mark Twain
"Oh, spring without end and without limit—
Dream without end and without limit!
I recognize you, life! I accept you!
And greet you with the ringing of my shield!"
A. A. Blok
"You are the Universe expressing itself briefly as a human being." Eckhart Tolle
"The action of the tiniest creature brings about changes in the entire Universe." Nikola Tesla
"The flutter of a butterfly's wings in Asia creates a movement of air that, gradually gaining strength, can cause a devastating cyclone off the coast of Florida."
Marc Levy, "The Seven Days of Creation"
"You are my butterfly within.
You are my butterfly without!"
Pyotr Kvyatkovsky
"Happiness is capricious and unpredictable, like a butterfly. When you try to catch it, it slips away from you, but if you simply get distracted, it will land right in your hands on its own." Henry David Thoreau
"Do not hold on to what is leaving, and do not push away what is coming. Then happiness will find you on its own."
Omar Khayyam
"Ordinary logic asserts: if you are unhappy, then you have no happiness. And since you do not have it, go and look for it. Paradoxical logic, however, says: if you go looking for happiness, you will lose it! Just sit down and realize that you already have it."
Socrates
"The gift of seeing beauty in the most ordinary things brings happiness into the home and makes life beautiful." Louisa May Alcott
"By caring for the happiness of others, we find our own." Plato
"People rarely think of darkness in the light, of misfortune in happiness, of suffering in contentment—and vice versa: in darkness they always think of light, in misfortune—of happiness, in poverty—of abundance."
Immanuel Kant
"There is only one path to happiness: to stop worrying about things beyond our control."
Epictetus
"Our position on Earth is truly astonishing. Each of us appears on it for a brief moment, without any clear purpose, although some manage to invent one. But from the perspective of ordinary life, one thing is obvious—we live for other people, and most of all for those whose smiles and well-being our happiness depends on." Albert Einstein
Love does not count people; love unites them. There is only one truth: we possess nothing in this world except another person's heart. And that is the only treasure that matters.
(Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, “The Citadel”)
Exactly so: the goal we “invent” acquires meaning only when it intertwines with the lives of others. The smile of a loved one is the currency that never loses its value in eternity. May every day be filled with this simple yet profound knowledge: we are here to give light to those from whom we receive it ourselves. True happiness is born in this cycle of kindness.
"Which hour is the most important in life, which person is the most significant, and which task is the most necessary? The most important hour is always the present, the most significant person is the one who is before us now, and the most necessary task is love."
Meister Eckhart
"A person who has dared to waste an hour of time has not yet realized the value of life." Charles Darwin

"To the dead, it makes no difference whether it is a minute or an hour,
Whether water or wine, whether Baghdad or Shiraz.
The full moon will give way to the new moon
A thousand times after our demise..."
Omar Khayyam
"There is nothing softer and more flexible than water, but try resisting it."
Lao Tzu
"He loved dense groves,
Solitude and silence,
The night, the stars, and the moon,
The moon, the heavenly lamp,
To which we dedicated
Our walks amid the evening darkness,
And tears, the solace of secret torments...
But now we see in it only
A replacement for dim lanterns."
A. S. Pushkin
"Sometimes it is better to leave everything as it is for a while, walking wherever your eyes lead you. To become like the free wind, solitary stars, the wise sun, and the silent moon." Paulo Coelho
"Nothing is new beneath the moon.
What is, what was, will be forever.
And blood flowed like a river before,
And people wept before as well." Nikolai Mikhailovich Karamzin
100 years (one century) equals one step in the history of humankind. One little step, two little steps, three little steps... For history, a mere trifle,
but for us, a full three hundred years (!), dozens of entirely different generations,
wars, revolutions, the fall of political regimes, and billions
of suffering people around the world unable to adapt
to rapid economic and social changes.
Three hundred years is an extremely long time for a person. But for history—well,
three times shifting its feet in place... Why in place?
Because nothing really changes! All changes in society occur
in form, not in essence. Just as we knew nothing about genuine spiritual life,
we still know nothing about it. Just as we longed for fame and wealth, so we still long for them.
Just as we groveled before the powerful, so we still grovel.
Just as we mocked the weak, so we still mock them. Just as we feared death,
so we still fear it. The history of humankind is going nowhere; it merely shuffles its feet
in place, creating the appearance of movement. In principle, history could
also refrain from shuffling its feet (and not create a deceptive appearance), but this is its only
entertainment—to show everyone that it is still alive, that the patience of Heaven toward humanity has not yet been completely exhausted...
*Iosif Lazarev "Spiritual Numerology: The Language of Numbers"
Again you crucify me, And insincerely love everyone,
Or do you, my children, not know
What you are doing in the madness of sin?
So much has been said about love,
So why do you not hurry to love?
And once again you hasten to cast
The golden calf beneath the mountain.
Again I break my tablets,
And, hearing the divine voice,
I destroy your kind at its roots,
To give birth to you on Earth anew.
But once again, having descended from the ark,
You hurry to seek the world's filth.
And plunging headlong into the abyss,
You tear the invisible bond with God apart...
And again I bring you the tablets,
And from the cross I gaze with hope,
And in anguish and sorrow I give myself to you To the very last drop.
"Falling is part of life; getting back on your feet is living it. Being alive is a gift, and being happy is your choice." Osho
"Every gift, even the smallest, becomes a great blessing when you give it with love." John Wolcot (Peter Pindar)

"I understand too well, Ivan: with every fiber of my being and my very gut I long to love—you said it beautifully, and I am terribly glad that you so long to live," Alyosha exclaimed. "I think that everyone should love life above all else in the world.
- Love life more than the meaning of it?
- Absolutely—love it before logic, as you say, absolutely, so that before logic, and only then will I be able to understand its meaning."
Fyodor Dostoevsky, "The Brothers Karamazov"
"Summer is an opportunity to fuel yourself with sunshine before the cold road ahead. And don't forget the most important thing—love. Pure, open, unconditional love. I am not talking about love for a man or a woman, but love for life, for the world around us. There is so much light and brightness in summer. Immerse yourself in its colors completely." Elchin Safarli, "Recipes of Happiness"
"…As if your soul would brighten, as if you would startle or someone would nudge you with their elbow. A new perspective, new thoughts… It is astonishing what a single ray of sunlight can do to a person's soul!"
F. M. Dostoevsky, "The Insulted and Humiliated"
"The ocean chose the most elegant waves for me; enormous snow-white clouds descended very low, the sun appeared from behind the clouds before sinking into the ocean, and painted the entire sky in the most incredible colors."
