A six-syllable mantra: om-na-mah-shi-va-ya, though it is often called a five-syllable mantra because OM is a separate mantra that complements other mantras, strengthening them.

You can also chant Om Shivaya Namah. Both versions are correct. There is an opinion in the scriptures that the version without Om and ending with namah is more suitable for women: Shivaya Namah.

The Scriptures interestingly state that the best word in all the Vedas is SHI-VA—two syllables. And of these two syllables, SHI is the best.

Part 1: Connect with the Buddhi mind
Mudra: the tips of the index fingers touch at the level of the third eye.
Breathing: two small inhalations through the mouth, two small exhalations through the nose.
Mantra: repeat “Life – Love. Love – Life” on each count.
11 minutes
Commentary: this stimulates and opens our ability to see beyond the boundaries of time and space. Beyond the duality of opposites. Stabilize yourself. Do not drown in the past or become attached to the future. Be fully here. In stability. The meditation will open your ability to accept and be broader than the three-dimensional world.
Part 2: Activation of apana
Mudra: pairs of fingers form a V, thumbs pointing outward, palms facing forward. Open your heart.
Mantra: Prana Apana Sushumna Hari. Hari Har Hari Har Hari.
Repeat three times on one exhalation until your lungs are completely empty (so do not inhale more than necessary). Even if you feel that there is no breath left, continue by applying uddiyana bandha and activating apana. Important: the lower jaw does not move; the mouth is half-open.
11 minutes.
Commentary: imagine that a great tsunami has passed and the end of the world has come. You need to reconnect with everything. Bring prana and apana together; then kundalini atma prana will begin to rise along the spine and activate your higher frequencies. Rise up!
Part 3: Find joy within
Mudra: clench your left hand into a fist with the thumb inside and grasp it with your right hand. The right thumb rests at the base of the left one. Hold your hands horizontally at heart level, facing downward.
