SANOGENESIS is the natural, inherent function of any body (including the human body) to restore its original state. In other words, sanogenesis is the process of self-healing. And as you understand, this is a medical, scientific term; it is "not some kind of esoteric meditation-grandmother-whispered-it".
As an example, take aging. Sanogenesis in our body always tries to return our body to a state of youth. ALWAYS.
Sanogenesis — this is what people usually mean when they say: If you treat a cold, it goes away in 7 days; if you do not treat it, it goes away in a week.
Hippocrates believed that only nature can heal the sick, and that the physician's task is to strengthen nature's healing power, direct it, and not obstruct it.

SCIENCE:
SANOGENESIS is a branch of nosology that studies the mechanisms and pathways of recovery. Recovery is an active process—a complex of intricate bodily reactions that arise from the onset of illness and are aimed at normalizing functions, compensating for resulting impairments, and ultimately restoring disrupted interactions with the environment at a different, new level.
It should be remembered that the body has no specialized recovery mechanisms. Recovery is ensured by the nervous, endocrine, humoral, and other systems of the body.
By sanogenesis we should understand a complex of protective, compensatory, and adaptive reactions and mechanisms directed against disease and the effects of pathogenic factors on the body, with the aim of helping the body emerge from illness, restore, or prevent disruptions in the mechanisms of the body's self-regulation. Thus, sanogenetic reactions and mechanisms are directed both toward the recovery of the diseased body and toward preserving and maintaining its health. In other words, they are inherent in both a diseased and a healthy body.
