Your Yoga. Meditations and esoteric practices.

I told you about the VR headset at my Ashram, as well as about many other things.

HERE:
https://www.youryoga.ru/sadhanaashram/threads/chto-mozhet-zamenit-kompjuter-po-mobilnosti.3468/

A virtual reality headset definitely helps those involved in esotericism.

If you compare ordinary visualization videos on a computer with a flat monitor to using a VR headset, it is like night and day.

VR is essentially immersion in another world.

You are literally THERE.

And you can even see your own hands there.

For example, you move your physical hands and see them in the virtual world.

You walk around your apartment—and you are walking THERE.

I have a VR headset—an Oculus Quest 3.

This is not an advertisement. It is simply inexpensive and, at the same time, the best thing currently available.

In terms of price, it costs about as much as two or three mid-range smartphones.

If you want to buy one inexpensively, do not buy it in a store, as they add a markup.

It is better to use online stores, such as Ozon with an Ozon card (that way it will be cheaper).

The Oculus Quest 3 boom has already passed, so the price is going down.

If the Oculus Quest 3 is too expensive, you can get an Oculus Quest 2.

I can say with certainty that VR is something special for those who want to use their external senses for their development.

You simply put on the headset, and suddenly you are already in another reality.

Yes, there is a problem.

The problem is that the market currently consists mainly of various games, such as shooters...

But I managed to find VR programs with amazing visualizations.

That is, you can literally FLY through space, as if in astral projection, fly over the Earth like a bird, play the hang (yes, really play it—you don't need to buy a hang, you actually play it there), play the piano...

I also boxed. I downloaded a boxing program and boxed with a virtual opponent. And that is very valuable! A virtual opponent will withstand any of your punches :)

You simply put on the headset and box to your heart's content.

You can play golf.

Study human anatomy, literally rotating and examining all the organs in 3D.

DRAW!

You can literally choose any wall in your apartment and draw on it. The wall is real, while you draw whatever you want on it in bright colors, literally with your hands!

In other words, the Oculus Quest 3 combines reality with the virtual world.

You see the real world—for example, a wall—and virtual paints... It is difficult for me to explain this to you if you are not familiar with it, but yes, it sounds like science fiction :)

There is a cinema there.

I caught myself putting on the headset and watching a film in cinema mode (that is, with a huge screen in front of you), and suddenly genuinely forgetting that I was at home rather than in a cinema.

You can watch YouTube in cinema mode; it is a completely different experience.

Even those flat meditation videos on ordinary monitors—you can watch them in the headset on a huge curved screen...

And that is a world of difference too.

There is a virtual keyboard there, and you You can type on it with virtual hands!

That is, you move your physical hands, and these movements are transmitted into virtual reality... It is also difficult to explain. Just keep it in mind.

In other words, when you put on the headset, you have a full-fledged computer with a keyboard and a huge screen.

Yes, as I said, the problem is that a great many shooters are made for headsets.

So you have to look for something worthwhile.

I have never played shooters at all. The only thing I did was install a couple of games featuring beautiful cosmic events and flights in spaceships.

I was looking for visual programs. It is incredibly beautiful.
It simply sweeps you away. Ayahuasca is just taking a break by comparison!

I am sure this is the future.

There are already people exploring VR with the aim of developing humanity. There are some worthwhile visual meditations and visual programs.

You just have to look. And also wait for developers to start making more programs like these.

I should also say that setting up Oculus Quest is not as simple as, for example, using a phone or laptop. You will have to work your brain a bit :)
Just follow the instructions; there are videos on YouTube explaining how to do everything. So simply do as they say and write. In the end, everything works out.

In this thread, I will share a little of what I have managed to find.

The following section contains paid content, where I will provide a list of useful programs for Oculus Quest 3 (as well as Oculus Quest 2):

I should add that I do not provide any support for this topic.
That is, questions in this topic such as "I bought an Oculus Quest, but nothing works for me..." may remain unanswered.

Of course, you can ask them; perhaps other VR owners will answer you, but I will not respond. At most, I may answer some general questions.

Before you start installing anything third-party on Oculus Quest, note that Oculus Quest already includes some free programs.
That is, do not install anything yet—play what is already there.
I strongly recommend playing Liminal and Tripp right away.

I strongly recommend using your hands. To do this on Oculus Quest 3, simply lightly tap the two hand controllers against each other twice. You will switch to virtual hand mode. This works because the video cameras scan your real hands and immediately create a virtual copy of them, which you can see.

In general, there is much more I could tell you about the VR headset. There is much more you can do with it. You can also do many things by purchasing additional accessories... But what I have said in this topic is enough to use VR for self-development.

Over time I will try to supplement the hidden text with new, useful and interesting visual programs.

This field is moving forward. Everything is improving.

New programs are appearing. So I am keeping up with it and will help you here as well.

Moreover, I have already told you at the Mahapurna School (you have already read this) that I may also contribute to the creation of new visual programs in the field of personal development.
After all, this is completely uncharted territory :)

At the moment, this is the best tool for personal development after practices such as meditation, visualization, dreamwork...

You simply put on a VR headset—and there you are.

All that remains is to create genuinely good programs for personal development.

It would be cool to create a program along the lines of “Meetings with the Loving Light” :)

I would also like to point out that everything I talked about today is currently FORBIDDEN in the country of slaves.
You won’t believe it—this VR headset has been declared extremist!!!

The fact that Oculus Quest has hand tracking is very important. Hand tracking.

It is a complete transfer of your physical hands into virtual reality.

You move your hands in the physical world, and you see that movement in the virtual world.

And I’ll tell you this: even if you don’t install a single program on your Oculus Quest, simply working with hand tracking is already a practice.

Just remember that moment when Don Juan talked about looking at your hands in a dream in order to enter the Astral realm.

Here, you can practice all of this!

So this is a simple practice that does not require any installed programs at all.

Nothing at all.

You simply put on the Oculus Quest headset.

Open the browser and play any YouTube video in it, for example, one with Tai Chi music.

Open the video in full screen.

You find yourself in a dark space, with the YouTube video playing off to the side.

You move your (physical) hands and see them translated into the virtual space.

You can begin moving your hands slowly.

Move them through the darkness.

Gradually shift your attention from your physical hands to the virtual ones.

Complete synchronization.

You literally SEE what astral projectors recommend doing in their visualizations for entering the Astral realm.

But here, there is no need to visualize anything. You literally SEE everything.

Practice looking at your “astral” hands. I deliberately called them astral because they are very similar to virtual hands.

Let me repeat what happens:

You do not see anything from your familiar world at all.
You see only the virtual world in its entirety.
You see your virtual hands.
You become immersed in another state of yourself—you learn to shift your consciousness from the physical world into the Astral realm.
This practiced SKILL will inevitably come into play when you are asleep. For example, you will look at your hands and become more aware of yourself in an energetic body, and so on.

And at the same time, this practice is easy. Visualization is difficult for many people. But here, you experience everything vividly.

You can literally do Tai Chi while looking at your hands.

When I do this, after a couple of minutes my hands literally “burn.” They begin to feel hot.
Because attention flows to the hands. It is a very interesting activity :)

Many people are buying VR headsets now for all kinds of shooting games.

But I’m telling you that something so easily overlooked as hand tracking is already a practice in itself.

I can say for certain that I personally would not have bought the Oculus 3 if it hadn’t had hand tracking.
Or if it had been poor.
That was a priority.

Moreover, I had been looking at VR for many years already. I kept waiting for exactly what was needed to appear.

And it did.

I’ve added a poll to this thread.
You can vote so we can see what percentage of people are interested in all of this.

Personally, I’ll say that it used to be a “miracle” to have a phone that had everything, including a video camera, a camera, the Internet, and so on. Now VR is that kind of “miracle.”
But it won’t be long before it becomes commonplace.
By the way, I opened a VR topic in my Ashram a long time ago.

Questions about VR are usually similar.

I’ll collect them here.

Is it possible to use VR without glasses?
If your prescription is stronger than 4 diopters, then no.
Up to 4 diopters should still work.
You can use daily or overnight contact lenses.
It sounds strange, since the screen is right by your eyes.
But in reality, your eyes are literally looking into the distance.
That is what makes VR different from flat screens, where your eyes focus directly on the screen. In VR, they look INTO THE DISTANCE, which is good for your eyes, since ophthalmologists specifically say that people have stopped looking into the distance while staring at computer or smartphone screens.

The next misconception is: won’t I get motion sick?
This question comes from an understanding of VR as it was five years ago, when you would put on a VR headset in some shopping mall and ride something like a roller coaster.
And everyone would laugh at how strangely you were moving while doing it...
What I’m talking about in this thread is completely different.
It’s using VR for self-development. That means various meditative, educational, and visual programs...
These aren’t shooting games. Visual programs do not put any strain on the vestibular system.
Often, you simply sit or lie down and immerse yourself in different states.
You develop the right hemisphere of your brain, and so on.
You don’t get motion sick while using a computer. This simply offers more opportunities for development.
I recommend watching the film "Ready Player One".

Will my eyes hurt?
What I’m talking about requires using VR for 10–30 minutes.
That is, I’m not talking about shooting games that people get hooked on for half a day.
You simply put on the headset, spend some time in another reality, meditate, and so on, then take it off.
Moreover, there are no medical statements that VR is harmful to the eyes. On the contrary, people say that looking into the distance is beneficial.
Personally, though, I believe everything is good in moderation. Fifteen minutes a day is enough. Thirty minutes maximum.
With the Oculus Quest 3, I recommend immediately reducing the screen brightness in the settings and switching the eye-protection slider (night mode) to ON. The image will instantly become softer and more pleasant.

If our physical world is an illusion, why should I put on a headset to enter an even greater illusion?
I’m talking about developing the ability to MOVE YOUR CONSCIOUSNESS. Right now, you are fixated on the physical illusion. Nothing can "knock you out" of it. A VR headset develops flexibility in moving your consciousness.
For example, dreams may become not only more vivid but also more controllable, and you may find it easier to remember them.
Why can’t people remember their dreams? Because their minds have become rigid within the physical illusion. When dreams and dream experiences happen to them, they cannot show enough flexibility to remember them. It’s like trying to open an .mp3 file with an axe, or putting on headphones and not understanding why you can’t see a film. You cannot see a film through headphones, just as you cannot hear it through a monitor screen.
Dreams work the same way. The dream file is incompatible with your player. You need to install a new plugin so that the dream format can play in your habitual consciousness.
But some people say, “I don’t dream!”
That’s a lie! Everyone dreams. Their brains simply cannot read the dreams. What they call “I don’t dream” actually means that they cannot read them, like an unrecognized file format.

I won’t use VR because it’s unnatural. I’d rather walk in nature, look into the distance with my own eyes, and live a real life rather than a virtual one!....
By all means :)

Can VR replace a computer or phone?
It can, if you use your computer or phone simply for communicating in messengers, social media, watching YouTube, browsing, and so on.
It won’t merely replace your computer or phone; it will make that replacement much more pleasant and convenient.
But keep in mind that VR is a new world. You’ll have to learn your way around it a little.

I can’t afford VR...
On average, a laptop costs about as much as an Oculus Quest 3.
The Oculus Quest 3 includes everything: headphones, and no keyboard or mouse is needed (it works like a tablet), as well as a monitor—and a huge one at that.
Another option is to buy a used one. Some strange people play all these shooting games for two weeks, lose their minds, and then sell the headset almost new. And of course, it’s cheaper. You can probably find ones like that on Avito.
You could also do this: buy an Oculus Quest 3 and sell it a year later. Yes, you might lose, say, 10,000 rubles. But you will already have gained the experience.
Moreover, if there are many people in your family, everyone will use it. As you can understand, when the cost is spread among many people—that is, one thing for everyone—it isn’t all that expensive. Like a car, for example: everyone rides in one instead of each person having their own.

I’ll have to keep charging the headset...
As I already said, I recommend using it for up to 30 minutes a day. The battery lasts for two hours.
So there are absolutely no problems.
I can even say that you can take the headset instead of a laptop on some trips. In my opinion, it’s even lighter and takes up less space. At the same time, you get a huge screen. You can sit in a park and work at a computer. Two hours of battery life. You can also take a power bank.
It uses a standard USB Type-C connection. That is, the same type you use to charge your smartphone. No cables or heavy power adapters like those used with laptops are needed.

At this point, I have already engaged programmers.

So the first programs may appear sooner than I expected.

I especially want to emphasize that I am not advertising Oculus at all.
And I don't care how you obtain it.

I chose Oculus for just one reason—it is the least expensive among those that have what is required.

As I said, I have been following VR technology for a very long time.

Right from the moment Oculus 1 appeared.

Oculus 1, of course, is nothing special at all.

But it was the first!

And the people who make it are moving forward by leaps and bounds, and in the right direction.

To work with Meta VR, using a phone and the Meta app is mandatory.

To activate the headset, as well as enable Developer Mode, you can watch this video:

Developer Mode is REQUIRED for installing programs!
Developer Mode can also be enabled in slightly different ways, but using Facebook and the phone linked to it is the simplest.
For those outside Russia, everything is fairly simple. Although an above-average level of technical proficiency is required.

For those living in Russia, everything is even more complicated. Probably about ten times more complicated. Some people literally need a week to figure it all out.
Installing a VPN is mandatory; without it, nothing will turn on or work.
I may provide instructions for this option as well.
There are, in principle, even free options. Although no one knows how long they will work.

Apparently, the headset can still be used while wearing glasses.
If you move the cushions farther away. But you have to be extremely careful not to scratch the lenses with your glasses...
Although I said that the headset already has headphones, that is not entirely true. It has something better than headphones. It is something like speakers and headphones combined, and spatial ones at that. In the headset, it seems as if sound is coming from everywhere, as in real life. You don't feel as though you are listening to music through headphones, for example. You feel as if you are immersed inside the sound itself.
I will definitely use binaural sound in my programs.
Of course, there is a microphone. You can use it to communicate on WhatsApp or Telegram, for example, and send voice messages. Yes, directly from the headset.

The first program has already been created.
All that remains is for me to format it on my website.
So soon you will be able to use it for your self-development.
The program will be dedicated to becoming aware of yourself in dreams.

All programs will be free and distributed free of charge.

At least for now.

Tomorrow we're going to pick up the headset🌞
I say to my daughter:
- Tomorrow we're going to pick up the Oculus 3.
- What's that?
- A VR headset.
- Oh, what a shame it's not the Meta Quest 3.
- It is—the best one :)
- What, seriously? Mom! I can't believe it! I've been dreaming about it. (And then she enthusiastically lists all its advantages.)
That's how OM Shanti helped make her daughter's dream come true🌞
We can't wait for tomorrow🥰

We bought it! And we’re testing it extensively. It exceeded all my expectations. There’s a battle for the headset at home; my daughter is thrilled, while my three cats watch us with huge eyes and pricked-up ears. In short, a cheerful chaos has broken out😅
We’re still figuring out the games. There was already a wow moment in the tutorial mode—the excitement is indescribable; I didn’t expect it from myself. You can see wonderfully in the dark, the graphics are excellent, and the whole experience is incredibly immersive.
The hands are a separate delight, truly—as OM Shanti wrote in the comparison with astral hands. What’s amazing is that when you press the buttons using your hands, your brain works in such a way that you physically feel the touch, like a slight sensation of pressure on your fingertips. And when I took off the headset, the slightly altered state of consciousness lasted for a little while; I could even seemingly see astral hands in my peripheral vision. (Perhaps the imprint on the retina caused this temporary effect.)
I also want to note that I have fairly complex mixed astigmatism (it’s impossible to get glasses that fully correct it), but I was able to focus my vision perfectly and see all the text, letters, and everything around me clearly. And most interestingly, my eyes didn’t get tired—in fact, they seemed to relax.
Special thanks for the description of what to turn on and how🙏 It wasn’t particularly difficult, apparently because we live in Europe. I’ve connected it to my iPhone for now.
We’re waiting for the program to be made available by OM Shanti🙏❣

What should you do if you don’t have a computer?

This is a logical question, especially if someone is buying VR glasses to replace a computer.

Using only a phone:
  1. Download SideQuest to an Android or iOS phone. It is available in the standard app store.
  2. Connect the device to your phone using USB.
  3. Switch MetaQuest from the standard mode to developer mode.
  4. Open the SideQuest Mobile app on your phone. Follow the virtual assistant’s instructions.
This is the more difficult route. Usually, everyone has at least some kind of laptop.

For those who have been banned from YouTube, as well as Oculus VR headsets:

Free YouTube and Oculus Quest for Russia

Without this information, you will not be able to use VR at all.

I downloaded it and tried it out :) It’s interesting to work with the hands and the music.
It was also interesting simply to walk around and touch the mesh of the walls. Red circles would immediately appear, which could be moved and merged into one large circle; you could also add a third circle from the headset itself. It feels as though these are opening portals that you just want to peek into and enter :) The music is, of course, awesome🥰
Many thanks🙏
I’ll try turning the music on before bed.

I’ll let you in on a little secret :)\n\nWork is already underway on the second program.\n\nIn it, you train your ability to create energy balls.\n\nThis is one of the most fundamental aspects of working with energy: truly feeling it and being able to move it.\n\nSome may say that this can also be done without a VR headset. \n\nIt can.\n\nBut when you SEE it, when it feels as real as possible to you (and your brain), as it does in a VR headset, practicing becomes much more interesting and effective.
