The Temple of Seven Gates
An adventure in which the road gradually becomes a mirror
An adventure in which the road gradually becomes a mirror
This game is more like an interactive book. As you read, you can choose completely different storylines. And this allows you not merely to read, but to seem to enter a Book that you appear to be writing yourself. Like a lucid dream.
On a forest road, Isis meets you. In her hands is a lantern with cracked glass. She asks you to help carry the flame to the House by the River. The task seems simple. But between you and the House lies the Temple of Seven Gates.
Here, thoughts acquire voices, fear becomes a guardian, and the city offers masks in which you are ready to be recognized. You will have to choose your path, talk to unusual creatures, encounter the consequences of your actions, and move onward.
What will you find in this game? That depends on how deeply you want to go.
The first level is adventure and entertainment.
It is a text-based game with branching paths, characters, small tasks, and a map of the journey. You can simply immerse yourself in the story, explore the world of the Temple, and see where your decisions lead. No special knowledge or preparation is needed to begin.
The second level is a psychological mirror.
Behind the fairy-tale encounters lie familiar situations: the desire to please, fear of making a mistake, difficulty saying no, the habit of procrastinating, and the urge to save someone else. You choose the hero’s actions—and sometimes unexpectedly recognize yourself in them. The game offers questions for reflection, but it does not diagnose you or determine “what kind of person you are.”
The third level is self-discovery through choice.
It is easy to say, “I know how to listen,” “I accept myself,” or “I know what I want.” But what will you choose when helping requires time, honesty costs you recognition, and moving forward means giving up your familiar support? The Temple allows you to explore such contradictions within the story. Here, you can try a different answer and see another side of the situation.
The fourth level is an esoteric journey.
The Seven Gates, the Keeper, the Shadow, the Seals, and the Gifts form the game’s symbolic language. For one person, they are fairy-tale images; for another, an opportunity to experience their own inner path more deeply. As you progress, not only the landscape changes: the questions you encounter change as well.
Level Five — Attention and Energy.
Where does your energy go? Into anxious thoughts, proving that you are right, other people’s expectations—or the task you have chosen? The game invites you to notice this. Short, optional practices offer a chance to pause, feel your breath and body, and bring your attention back to the present moment. The energetic meaning of this level lies in a mindful attitude toward your attention, energy, and state of being.
Level Six — Spiritual Understanding.
What will remain if you set aside your habitual roles? Can you help without controlling another person? Acknowledge your Shadow while still choosing the light? Here, the journey touches on honesty, compassion, freedom, and responsibility. Everyone can seek their own answers—without needing to appear perfect.
Level Seven — Returning to Life.
The journey has a specific purpose: to carry the fire to the House by the River. And each completed chapter offers an opportunity to choose a small step for everyday life: clarify a conversation, set a boundary, accept help, or finish a postponed task. In the Book of the Journey, you can save your thoughts and return to them later.
From Darkness to Light—One Step at a Time
In the Temple, Light does not destroy Shadow. It helps you see what previously went unnoticed and choose how to live with it from then on.
You can play the game for the story. You can pause at a question that struck a chord. You can return and choose differently.
The Seven Gates lead to the House. And the eighth door opens into your everyday life.
The game saves your progress in your browser. You can play it chapter by chapter, take breaks, and continue later. Practices and personal notes are optional.
