Before beginning to study brain waves, each of you should remember when you experienced these states yourself.
For example, today.
You talked to someone at work, communicated with relatives, spoke to your children on the phone, with your neighbor...
Remember?
That was when you were in the beta state.
This is the most ordinary state.
That is the first one.
The gamma state is when you needed to make quick decisions today. For example, you knocked a cup with your elbow and barely caught it, mobilizing yourself. Or you were driving and there was some difficult descent or stretch of road. You were trying not to be late for work and did everything quickly.
That was the gamma state for you.
I think you remembered both of these states. Everyone experiences them often, every day.
I’ll continue.
Yes, of course—alpha waves.
Yesterday you went to bed and relaxed. External things began to switch off: sounds, sensations...
This relaxation is what the brain’s alpha waves are.
In other words, an ordinary, simple meditation produces alpha waves. Yoga nidra meditation has become fashionable recently—and that is alpha.
Remember your alpha state?
And now remember when you went to bed but had not yet fallen asleep. Images had already begun to appear and merge into a dream... And suddenly something pulled you out of that state. But you still remembered all those images. That was the theta state.
I deliberately did not provide you with any frequencies here, any hertz values, etc. Instead, I helped you personally remember one state or another of your own.
And now you understand that you have been in each of them, and when.
Literally today or in the past few days.
And you understand what they are like through personal experience.
And there is no mysticism in this, nor anything that only certain people are capable of.
