When you hear the word anahata, you probably think of the anahata chakra. Perhaps some people think of the heart, while others even think of love. But in Sanskrit, the word anahata has no direct connection with these concepts. In Sanskrit, anahata has a somewhat different meaning.

To a greater extent, it refers specifically to sound or vibration. It means that this sound and this vibration cannot be created in this world. In other words, it is something beyond matter. You have probably heard the Zen story in which a master tells his student: "Now go, and when you hear the sound of one hand clapping, you may return. Then I will tell you that you have become enlightened."

This is a paradoxical phrase and a paradoxical task for the student. Because no matter what you think, you can never figure out how it is possible to hear the sound of one hand clapping.

The same is true of anahata. Whatever sounds you hear, they are not like the sound or resonance of anahata. It is something transcendent. And it is precisely in this sense that the words love, heart, and spirituality are associated with anahata. Because love and the soul have no connection with the material world.

But in this particular song of mine, Anahata in Sanskrit does not mean the Anahata chakra. Here, it is much closer to the Zen story in which the student is told to go and hear the sound of one hand. And until you hear this sound of anahata, no sounds will help you come even half a step closer to yourself.

This latest song of mine is a mantra. Most likely, it is more of a practice than a song. Because you hear the words: nada anahata. And if you understand that anahata is a sound that does not exist in this world, then you cannot understand what this song is about at all. How can you hear a nonexistent sound? Nonexistent vibrations? How can you attune yourself to something that does not exist in this world?

But it is precisely such reflections that lead a person to enlightenment—not reflections on something beautiful and lovely in this world. To become spiritual, you need to think about the spiritual. And no matter what beautiful and lovely thing in this material world you think about, it will still be material. Even if it is the most beautiful song in the world.

Nada translates as sound or resonance.

A beautiful mantra song and a beautiful performance!

I listened to the fifth song for about two hours. Changes were taking place in my awareness of the consciousness of the spiritual world. It is precisely in this silence, when the music seems to surround you like mountains and you descend ever deeper—into an abyss, into a round hollow within yourself—that true listening begins. You no longer hear the external melody, but the one that sounds within. It is not there yet, but I can hear its breathing. The vibrations rise, the harmony fills the space, and suddenly thoughts arise: to hear what you will never hear; to feel what you will never feel; to see what you will never see; to experience what you will never experience; to allow that which will never manifest to reveal itself.

The practice of silence begins. Music becomes merely a gateway. When you immerse yourself deeply enough, the external sound dissolves, and only the inner one remains—anahata nada, the unstruck sound that only the soul can hear. From this profound silence, inaudible vibrations emerge, and it is they that lead onward—to a genuine deepening within oneself. And there…..only practice. The state is as if I am here and not here, near and ....far away; you do and complete some kind of work, study, or not; this or that. Consciousness feels separate, the body separate, my fingers type separately, and my attention constantly shifts toward the Spiritual World. Where? To understand why? What? How? There is no need. It simply IS—that which cannot be described. Any description of the Spiritual World is not it. There is a search, silence, simply a process of movement, a movement that brings new indescribable states and sensations.....They are new.....It is practically impossible to describe them......That is how it is. Bows to everyone, and spiritual courage.

I simply enjoy this song as an audio stream, without following the meaningful lyrics along with the audio or thinking about them. I just admire it, as if I were turning my face toward the sun and closing my eyes, enjoying its light and warmth. Such a beautiful voice, like the play of light in Nurian crystals flowing like a crystal-clear stream and shimmering as they sound through the Teacher’s voice......
I especially look forward in every song to that moment when the voice begins to ring... like a heavenly kettledrum..... ..It is something indescribably beautiful.... There are especially many such moments in this sixth song....
So, ... YES! On a long repeat again!!!!
It occurred to me that, in order to write poetry in Sanskrit, one must at least think in that language, almost like a native speaker.... It inspires the deepest respect that whatever the Teacher undertakes, He does it in the best possible way... including something as challenging as studying Sanskrit well enough to write spiritual poetry in it.

I’m listening to the OM Shanti Song-Mantras, as Mantras sung in the Teacher’s voice. As if I were listening to the Mantras in the voices of Shirdi Sai Baba, Devraha Baba…
How lucky we are… I think that even now I still don’t fully appreciate it.
But these Song-Mantras are also so beautiful in their sound and performance that it’s simply impossible not to value them as beautiful musical works as well.
I like them very much. “Your Name is my breath…”
They purify the Soul, inspire the Heart, calm the mind, and help us remember our Light.
