What I write about—I have seen all of it myself.
Most people who have never meditated, or have only tried meditating a little, think that relaxing simply means sitting down and staying still.
We were even TRAINED to think this way as children. “Now sit down and calm yourself!” And if you don’t move, or at least don’t make any “harmful” movements, you are considered to have calmed down.
Those who have really meditated, like me, know that many people do not even suspect what relaxation actually is.
Yes, when you simply sit down and sit for a while, something will calm down. That is true. Your blood pressure, for example, will return to normal, and you will feel calmer...
But that isn’t what I’m talking about.
I’m talking about COMPLETE relaxation. The kind after which it feels as though you have just slept for five hours. You are full of new dreams and energy. You are so calm that no information can “break through” and trigger psychosis or nerves.
Moreover, you are so calm that even the people around you suddenly calm down too. You do nothing, yet they calm down.
Simply because you have this state within you.
You notice especially clearly that you are entering complete and absolute peace and relaxation when you have missed meditation for a long time.
As if you hadn’t eaten for a week. As if you had been missing something vital.
And now you are EATING it.
You sit and enjoy yourself. As though you have arrived at a cosmic cafeteria where they feed you soup made of peace and porridge made of relaxation.
You eat and eat. And you literally feel certain parts of your body, psyche, and soul becoming nourished. I’m not joking! You literally feel that there are specific places in the body or psyche that need THIS more, places that have grown hungrier.
Since around 2002, on the Your Yoga website, I have devoted enormous attention specifically to complete relaxation.
Let me remind you that the Your Yoga website did not begin in 2003. In 2003, I bought the domain and hosting for youryoga.org.
Before that, it existed on free services such as Yandex.
People came to it, and for some reason they were interested in what I was doing. So after some time, in 2003, I moved everything to a paid domain and good hosting.
Many people meditate nowadays, but it doesn’t work for them. They do not get the results described, for example, in ancient yogic scriptures.
Why?
That’s it. Many people nowadays chase results and try to achieve them immediately, ignoring this. But meditation is not something you achieve; it is something that should happen on its own.
Oh yes, I know that you watch masses of videos on YouTube with titles like “Such-and-such Meditation,” “Meditation for...,” “Meditation against...”
Yes, I have made and continue to make such meditations myself. My website ranks among the leaders for this type of meditation video.
But that is not meditation.
Meditation is:
