Mitochondria are considered by science to be our energy batteries.
When I actively practiced Holotropic Breathwork, the first thing you notice after these sessions (about an hour later) is the most powerful surge of energy. This surge is directly connected with the mitochondria.

Below is a very interesting and informative video.
It may even shock some people with its scientific knowledge.

It also explains why in ancient times there was such a phrase as "So-and-so man fathered a son"... In one form or another, it appears in various Scriptures. And you cannot help but marvel at how, thousands of years ago, people knew what science is only now discovering under the most powerful microscopes.

People ask: how do you charge the mitochondria?

As I have already told you, I trained at the Moscow Institute of Psychoanalysis to become a Holotropic Breathwork instructor, among other things.

And I have the diplomas. You have all seen them.

Naturally, I went through these Holotropic Breathwork sessions myself.

There was a person in my group who lived in Peru with Peruvian shamans for many years. He cannot even say exactly how much ayahuasca he drank over the course of his life :)

You are unlikely to spend that much time on all this. And it also requires quite a lot of money.

But in the end, this person said that the experience he gained specifically through Holotropic Breathwork surpassed everything he had experienced in Peru with curanderos.

At the same time, he was surprised that there was no need to go anywhere, and essentially, it was free. Just breathe, and that's all.

And I will say the same.

Holotropic Breathwork also uses Wim Hof's method. Especially if you are impressed by the achievements of this unique person.

Meanwhile, I started looking into this topic a little less than a year ago...




Formula for calculating VO₂ max:

MaxHR — maximum heart rate (imagine you’re running away from a bear, run like that for about a minute, and measure your heart rate)
MinHR — minimum heart rate (when you lie down for about 10 minutes, very calmly, almost half-asleep)

Naturally, you’ll need a wrist tracker to measure your heart rate. I created a huge free course about devices — here.

Surprisingly, it turns out that our body embraces another body.
A completely different body, so to speak, that is not ours.

And this body can be called the mitochondrial body.

It is a completely different Being.

Fundamentally different from our body and definitely not our body. It is, as it were, embraced by our cells.

You could even put it this way: since mitochondria are essentially the energy of our body, when our body embraces the mitochondrial body, it embraces the energy body!

The mitochondrial body lives completely independently. That is, according to its own laws.

It is literally a body within a body.

Of course, over millions of years of evolution, we have developed a very deep mutual understanding with this body—the mitochondrial, energetic body. In other words, we live to each other’s benefit.

You won’t believe it, but mitochondria can literally move around inside your body. For example, they may decide to move to another cell. As they please.

Today I rewatched all the videos on this topic, and if I understood correctly, mitochondria begin multiplying only under very high physical loads, so, for example, an oxygen concentrator will not increase their reproduction in any way? It’s strange, but from all this information, it seemed to me that they are not only our energy batteries, but we are theirs as well 😅—that is, for them to live and multiply, we have to give it our all, and in return we receive the energy we need!
I don’t actively engage in sports, but I have a very active job, 15,000–20,000 steps a day plus considerable physical exertion, and yet my VO₂ max is only 48.9. How hard do you have to push yourself to get a good result?

369 369 , as far as I know, training volume has the greatest effect on mitochondrial growth.
Training volume means training for as long as possible (for example, two hours a day). The intensity can be low. In other words, it does not have to be extreme.

Walking is suitable.

But you need to keep in mind that mitochondria grow in the muscles you load.

For example, if you do squats, you will have a lot of mitochondria in your legs, but not in your other muscles.

Therefore, full-body training is the best.

I noticed an error in my VO₂ max calculations and corrected it in my first post. Plus, there is another mistake: I calculated it based on my fitness tracker, using the maximum and minimum readings, but I didn’t take into account that the maximum is recorded during extreme exertion, such as sprinting away from a bear 😁 (I haven’t run from any bears recently) 😅, so the VO₂ max reading is clearly inaccurate 🤨
More intense exertion is needed for more accurate calculations.

One of the videos on this topic mentioned that mitochondria can move, and I became curious about when this might happen. And here is what I came up with 🤔
If a person starts actively exercising, say, running, the mitochondria begin multiplying as a result of this activity, causing the leg muscles to start growing. But what is interesting is that the more mitochondria there are, the faster they multiply, and eventually they become cramped in one area (the legs) and start looking for new territory—for example, moving into the glutes, then rising higher and higher!
Well, just like us humans! Initially, there were only Adam and Eve 🤔
And how are we different from mitochondria? 🙂 Except that for them, we are the gods!

A superb, informative, and motivating video!
I love breath retention after exhalation and practice it often. The best “pill” for any ailment.
I sent the link to a friend (with whom I swim in the mornings). Last year, she took part in an Ironman, and, by the way, she practices the Wim Hof Method and winter swimming.
She looks amazing, of course! She has tremendous energy and never gets sick.

Прошло 2,5 года после открытия этой темы мной и я всё ещё спрашиваю, Вы всё ещё думаете что митохондрии - это то о чём Ва не стоит знать?

Вы всё ещё ноете, что у Вас мало сил к вечеру, но всё ещё не желаете даже просто мельком глянуть мою тему?

Ну а если Вы всё же почтите своим драгоценным вниманием мою тему, то Вам придётся посмотреть и в эту сторону - Дыхание и Открытие Бутейко - т.к. это об одном и том же.

Основные функции митохондрий

  1. Производство энергии (АТФ) — митохондрии вырабатывают энергию из углеводов и жиров.
    • Из углеводов — до 36 единиц энергии.
    • Из жиров — до 146 единиц энергии.
    • Белки для энергии не используют.
  2. Сигнальная функция — клетки обмениваются сигналами через митохондрии (в том числе для иммунитета).
  3. Регуляция апоптоза — управляют «правильной смертью» клетки.
    • Если митохондрия повреждена → клетка может не погибнуть вовремя, превращаясь в опухолевую или «стареющую» (сенесцентную).
  4. Стабилизация кальция — регулируют уровень кальция в клетке (мобильного, используемого в процессах обмена).
  5. Участие в выработке половых гормонов — стероидогенез напрямую связан с митохондриями.
  6. Детоксикация — участвуют в обезвреживании токсинов.
  7. Иммунная защита — запускают первый сигнал иммунной системе при атаке вирусов/бактерий.
  8. Управление воспалением — при повреждениях митохондрии становятся источником хронического воспаления.
Особенности работы митохондрий

  1. Живут ~28 дней и обновляются через процессы:
    • слияние (fusion),
    • деление (fission),
    • самодиагностика и устранение повреждённых митохондрий.
  2. Зависят от углекислого газа (CO₂) — CO₂ действует как «пожарник» и антиоксидант, защищая их от повреждений.
    • При дефиците CO₂ → спазм сосудов, гипоксия, панические атаки, старение.
  3. Зависят от сна — во сне через мелатонин защищаются от свободных радикалов и восстанавливаются.
  4. Зависят от движения — физическая активность «будит» митохондрии, стимулирует их обновление и работу.
    • При сидячем образе жизни они «засыпают», начинают работать хуже и генерировать больше свободных радикалов.
  5. Требуют микроэлементов и витаминов — магний, цинк, медь, железо, витамины группы B.
  6. Метаболическая гибкость — способность переключаться между получением энергии из углеводов и жиров.


🔑 Итого:
Митохондрии — это не просто «энергетические станции». Они:

  • производят энергию,
  • управляют жизнью и смертью клеток,
  • регулируют гормоны и иммунитет,
  • влияют на воспаление и детоксикацию,
  • зависят от CO₂, движения, сна и питания.


Ниже дана буквально расписанная по шагам практика от клинического врача (т.е это НАУЧНО) как начать улучшать митохондрии и получать максимум энергии для своей жизнедеятельности.

А таже заблаговременно предотвратить риск самых страшных заболеваний Человечества - рак, сахарный диабет и т.д.

Намасте! Очень заинтересовала тема митохондрий! Посмотрела некоторые из приведенных выше видеороликов. Для меня, честно говоря, было открытием, что митохондрии рассматривают как "прирученные" клеткой ранее совершенно самостоятельные клетки, весьма схожие с бактериальными и практически полностью автономные. У них есть свой генетический аппарат - митохондриальное ДНК и даже свои рибосомы для синтеза белка.

С большим вниманием и интересом прослушала интервью с Аркадием Прокоповым, ученым, которым, как я поняла, глубоко изучил методику гипоксических тренировок, участвовал в разработке аппаратов для них (гипоксикаторов) и отработки схем самих тренировок для спортсменов, военизированных служб и других целей. Обратила внимание на то, что хоть сам он уже не сильно молод, но тело очень подтянутое и выглядит очень хорошо, практически нет морщин.
Из его рассказа почерпнула:
- митохондрии мышц в условиях гиподинамии становятся дисфункциональными, неполноценными и именно регулярная прокачка - мышечная активность - создает в мышце эпизод гипоксии, который стимулирует поиск клеткой путей решения этой проблемы. При этом запускаются дремлющие механизмы по преодолению нехватки кислорода. Только в таких условиях и активизируется деление "правильных", полноценных митохондрий (с длинной, а не укороченной цепочкой ДНК).
- мне стало понятней про апоптоз - почему это процесс - гибели отживших клеток - важен и нужен. Это обновление, недопущение "заболачивания" организма устаревшими слабыми клетками. Они должны освободить место новым, сильным, более жизнеспособным. Кроме того, если клетка продолжает без контроля размножаться, это и есть ее раковое перерождение.
- и даже появлением здоровых и активных потомков люди обязаны все тем же митохондриям. Как? Оказывается, не все яйцеклетки в организме женщины одинаково жизнеспособны и имеют высокий потенциал, встречаются и слабенькие. И митохондрии совершают отбор из них самых лучших, определяют, какая именно яйцеклетка выйдет из фолликула и начнет свой путь навстречу сперматозоиду. Из лучшей и появится зародыш. Это так в норме и если ничего не нарушено искусственным образом. А вот ЭКО - это нарушение этого природного механизма. В таком случае, берется любая яйцеклетка, где гарантия ее полноценности?
Рекомендует также те типы дыхания, при которых создаются гипоксические состояния в организме - по Вим Хофу, например. Еще не знакома с этой методикой, есть чему учиться.
Спросили, "что лучше есть, чтоб улучшить митохондрии?" Ответом была улыбка и "Лучше поголодать".

Иногда так интересно погрузиться вглубь организма и его тайн, здесь их еще неисчерпаемое количество! И каждый раз приходит особенное восхищение - как же мудро устроен организм и каждая его клеточка! Благодарю, дорогой учитель, Ом Шанти, за интереснейшую и очень практическую тему!
