It’s a pity the contest is over, because I’ve just had an interesting experience, although everything only ended today. I had a passionate desire to participate in a certain project, but, as if in dreams, I was shown that I didn’t need it. Today’s dream put an end to my ordeal, and I called off all the efforts I had been making to achieve what I wanted. I felt relieved, as if a weight had been lifted from my shoulders.

But, if it’s allowed, I can describe my recent experience here in the thread: how guidance comes through dreams, whether we really need to fulfill our desires, what motives drive us, and everything I had to analyze in order to remain sensible and make the right choice in a situation where passion prevails over reason.

Good morning, everyone!

My latest story is about hints in dreams in various situations—when we plan something in our lives, whether our plans will benefit us, and whether we should always indulge our desires.

The field of working with the energies of space is currently developing very extensively, and this is practiced quite actively at our school. OM Shanti has given everyone interested the opportunity to undergo sessions of cleansing and healing with cosmic energies. I think that everyone who participates in them feels the positive effect of this interaction. I wanted to take a training course in energy healing so that I could help not only myself, but also my husband and loved ones. I saw an announcement about such a course being held in one of the nearest cities to me, and of course I was very happy about this opportunity, because previously such courses had been held in very remote regions of the country. Naturally, I applied to the course administrator, and I was accepted. I was filled with joy at the thought that I would be able to help myself and others heal from illnesses without medication. I was filled with excited anticipation of giving up pills and examinations that cause great harm to the body, particularly CT scans. During sadhana, I turned to my Deity for a blessing for this undertaking. It was Christmas Eve according to the Orthodox calendar, and on the night before Epiphany, after my request, I had this dream:

“I see myself with a group of people. They are all very friendly, and some kind of conversation is going on among us. I understand that I am missing something in order to begin studying with them, so I start asking where I can get it. In response, they ask me whether I have been to the park. I tell them, ‘No.’ They all say together that I absolutely must go to the park; there is a monument there, and they have all been there. I see some of them returning along the road to the building where I am standing with the others, and everyone is so happy. I am puzzled and wonder why I should go to the park to some kind of monument. Then I see a naked baby boy, as if he were an abandoned child. I start looking for clothes and food to feed him. I find some things, but when I return to him, he has grown and the clothes are too small. This continues until he grows into a teenager, and once again I look for clothes for him. I approach some kind of wardrobe and see a great deal of good, clean clothing in his size. I am surprised that I had not noticed it earlier. Then he comes over himself and dresses independently in whatever he needs. After that, I return to the hotel to leave and see that my bed and belongings are gone, and the room itself has become so small that it is impossible even to enter.

This dream gave me no peace. I understood that I did not have a blessing to take the course, and that dreaming of a baby boy meant some kind of trouble. The room with the bed and my belongings meant that I had no place there and would not have one. I did not want to accept the thought that this project was not meant for me.

I continued preparing to travel to another city. I rushed to look for hotels where I could stay and examine their location in relation to the venue. I began studying everything from prices and accommodation conditions to the distance from the train station, as well as a host of other questions connected with the upcoming trip—how and by what means I would get there and return. Finally, I booked a room in a suitable hotel and knew when, how, and by what means I would get to my destination. A great deal of time and effort was spent on all this. At last, everything was ready for the course. Amid all these preparations, a thought flashed through my mind that perhaps I had wasted my time. I was puzzled by it, and somehow it spoiled all my rosy mood. (The baby boy represented the trouble of traveling and arranging everything in an unfamiliar city, which I nevertheless decided to undertake.)

Then my inner torment began. During the day, I came up with a multitude of arguments for why I should learn to work with energies. Yet upon waking in the morning, during sadhana, and afterward, certain questions about this project began to trouble me—questions to which I could not give myself an affirmative answer—and I remembered the dream again. I was in an endless dilemma over whether to go or not to go, just like in Shakespeare. The inner tension was enormous. Then I decided to go to the Temple, to the Deities, and ask Them to help me finally understand whether I should take this course or not. I did so, and when I remembered the dream the next morning, I immediately understood everything.

Dream: Once again, I see myself in a group of people. Everyone is being asked to make a pass from the sheets of paper that have been handed out to us. The participants approach a device, insert their sheet of paper, and a pass comes out. I insert my sheet and see that the pass is defective—it contains the wrong symbols. I worry and wonder where I can have it remade, then understand that there is nowhere else I can do this, and at that moment I wake up.

I do not have a pass for this course.
It is not what I need. How could the dream have answered my request any more eloquently?
During the day, I feel my passion for this project fading, and even a certain indifference arising inside me. I finally calm down, and then thoughts begin to come to me as arguments that I already have all the necessary tools to improve my health.
First and foremost, there is the Your Yoga website and the Mahapurna school—a treasure trove of both free and paid tools. I also have a very good paid breathing course from another school; that course alone could resolve all my health issues. I have more than enough different tools; what I lack is simply the discipline and willpower to practice regularly. The course I had dreamed of taking would have been another item on the list of resources I already possess, and a very expensive one at that, but again it would not have been used because I am unable to organize myself and practice regularly. So the courses accumulate, but are not used for their intended purpose.

The park with the monument in the dream meant that I was being advised to go to the Temple, to the Deities, and ask Them to help me determine whether my idea of taking the course was necessary. It was presented as something elevated and essential in order to be admitted to the course. After the dream, I was unable to understand what it meant. I had asked for a blessing at the altar in my home, but that proved insufficient. Therefore, I decided to go to the Temple, to the Deities, and the next dream made any other interpretation simply impossible. Everyone who attended that course had been blessed by Heaven.”
