Very interesting! I read it and realized that I have already had such a practice for a long time. The rudraksha mala that I constantly wear is my talisman, my kavacha (protection). This is my Diksha mala, which my Shri Guruji put on me, as well as the one-faced rudraksha. I have an altar where photographs of Shri Guruji and his Padukas are placed. I also have his hair. I had not thought that one could make a talisman. I will try. I also have flower malas from my Diksha and Guru Puja. I have kept them for 10 years. There is Ganges water on the altar (sealed in a copper lota). I keep Prasad from Shiva temples (flowers and bilva leaves). I also have colored sand from a mandala. In 2014, lamas from India came to Saint Petersburg in connection with the centenary of our datsan. They created a Hayagriva mandala. I was fortunate enough to attend the celebration and receive blessings from the Rinpoche. He said that I had definitely practiced Buddhism in one of my lives. Everything is very close and appealing to me at the datsan. I think that is why. All of this is extremely important to me! I always send my love and respect to all Teachers!
It did take a month and a half for my Vajra to reach me from China, though. On the plus side, it was inexpensive and exactly what I wanted (small, about 3 cm).
