“True life does not take place where great external changes occur, where people move, collide, fight..., but only where tiny, imperceptible changes take place in people's spiritual consciousness.” Leo Tolstoy, “The Reading Circle”
“People who know how to change again and again are far more reliable and happier than those who do not.”
Stephen Fry, “Moab Is My Washpot”

You are reasoning correctly. Point one: it is impossible to change someone else.
Point two: you can change your attitude toward their snoring.
Point three: if that does not help, you can move to another tree.
Conclusion: wisdom lies in the correct sequence of actions.
* A. A. Milne, “Winnie-the-Pooh and All, All, All,” translated by V. Rudnev

“In 20 years, you will be more disappointed by the things you did not do than by the ones you did. So cast off from the safe harbor. Feel the wind at your back in your sails. Move forward, act, explore!”
Mark Twain
“Always rely on the thought that your own determination to succeed is far more important than anything else.”
Abraham Lincoln

“Until you have made a final decision, doubts will torment you; you will constantly remember that there is a chance to turn back, and this will prevent you from working effectively. But the moment you decide to devote yourself completely to your work, Providence is on your side. Such things begin to happen that could not have happened under other circumstances... Whatever you are capable of, whatever you dream of, begin to put it into practice. Courage gives a person strength and even magical power. Take the plunge!”
Johann Wolfgang von Goethe.

Tahoko has always been a challenge for me to everything coarse and dirty that was inside me. This art entered my life, becoming my life and my philosophy. It led me toward perfection, which I saw first and foremost in victory over myself. When I stepped into the ring, I always felt that I was going out to fight neither for victory over my opponent nor for any title or rank, but against myself—the opponent who always knows which hand I will strike him with—right or left; who is always ready to deflect every blow, anticipating my every move; who knows all my weak spots and always strikes only at them.
And this is true Tahoko—a duel with oneself, with one’s imperfections and weaknesses.

“Life is an unsolved mystery, but, whatever the case, its components are strength and weakness. Strength triumphs; weakness suffers defeat.”
Theodore Dreiser, “The Financier”
“It is not whether we lose in the game that matters; what matters is how we lose and how we change because of it, what new things we take away for ourselves, and how we can apply them in other games. In a strange way, defeat turns into victory.”
Richard Bach, “The Bridge Across Forever”

“If you want to understand life, stop believing what people say and write, and observe and feel.” A. P. Chekhov,
“Life is too short, and it is not worth spending it cherishing resentment in your heart or remembering grievances.”
Charlotte Brontë

“First you remain silent because you have made up a reason to take offense... Then it will feel awkward to break the silence. And later, when everything has already been forgotten, we will simply forget the language in which we understood each other...”
Oleg Tishchenkov, “The Cat”
“Taking offense and becoming indignant is like drinking poison in the hope that it will kill your enemies.”
Nelson Mandela

“My silence is heard everywhere,
It fills the courtroom,
And it could outshout
Even the roar of rumor, and, like a miracle,
It places its seal upon everything.”
Anna Akhmatova

“I am still amazed by the sight of clouds and sunsets. I always make a wish when I see a rainbow or a shooting star. I have seen a meteor shower. The world is full of wonders.”

"Our life is nothing other than a large copying machine that reproduces everything we think, say, and do. It "prints" what is in our heads. And it returns it to you not in the form of thoughts, but in the form of its attitude toward you. Now ask yourself: does a photocopier care what you want to print? And if you feed it sheets with phrases like "Life is shit," "I have no money," or "Nobody loves me," it will dutifully perform its task. In other words, it will reflect the contents of the sheets throughout your entire life."

"The path to success lies through relaxation—even if that sounds like a paradox. You can increase efficiency by exerting all your strength only up to a certain limit. All the achievements I am most proud of were attained in a state of calm and ease, when everything came naturally and I worked far more effectively than usual. This is called "effortless action."
Martin Biyaugo, "Jordan Milne"

"His thought is calm, and his word is calm, and his deed is calm. Such a calm and liberated person possesses perfect knowledge."
Buddha
"God is not about mercy, people,
nor is it about justice.
God is balance; God is play.
God is pleasure.
God is the dance of a being of inexpressible lightness on the brink of nonbeing.
God is that which you are given to serve.
You were created for one service alone.
Everything is so simple."
Franz Vertfollen, "Kaleidoscope"
