Yesterday evening, thanks to a friend, I watched two short videos with Wim Hof. It immediately became clear to me why our topic is called "for beginners" The teacher gave us the easiest possible version.
But I learned a lot of useful things for myself from those two videos (although I am still far from the original practice) :
1. Lying on my back during the breathing was the right decision.
2. The inhalation should be full! Not just belly breathing, as I had automatically been doing before, but belly + chest - that is when deep breathing really works! And lying on your back makes it easiest.
3. I don't have to count the seconds myself during the pause at all, because there is a stopwatch! This way I won't be distracted from immersing myself in the process and tense up unnecessarily wondering how many seconds have already passed I have a stopwatch on my phone, along with an alarm clock.
I applied everything listed above today. The result is already making me happy:
Day 6. Late morning
3 cycles of 15 breaths, 32-second pause.
