This practice concerns the topic: Signs that You are suppressing your emotions
And also this practice: Your Yoga. Physical, astral, and karmic cleansing.
In Ancient Egypt, it was not customary to ask about someone's health when meeting them; they asked a different question: "How do you sweat?"
The ancient Greeks later adopted this greeting.
The thing is, in our world people forbid themselves practically any bodily urges. Moreover, from childhood we are taught to ENDURE.
We endure everywhere. As a result, over the years all of this accumulates within us.
Allowing yourself to sweat is a very good practice.
You literally need to let go and allow your body to sweat.
It is hot at the moment. The practice is easy to do.
Wrap yourself up. And drink two or three cups of hot tea.
Enough to make yourself sweat. But sweat consciously. Literally, as they say, go all out. Allow your body to sweat to the maximum.
Let the sweat pour. Yes, it is unpleasant. That is precisely why we try to suppress all of this throughout our lives.
But here, you need to allow yourself to sweat. Let everything that needs to come out leave you.
In any quantity.
Can this be compared to a steam bath or sauna?
I am asked this very often.
Not quite. In a steam bath or sauna, things are somewhat different. I recommend specifically wrapping yourself up and drinking tea.
This is a natural setting. The heat comes from within.
The only thing I can compare it to is exercising until you work up a good sweat.
However, when exercising, you are not relaxed.
Here, you are relaxed and focused on letting go of the body.
