In the announcements for 2022 — HERE — I mentioned that I was seriously renovating the altar room according to Vastu and promised photographs.
Below are videos and photos. When I finish everything, I will post more photos.
You will most likely see the rest in the photographs from the next Puja.
In fact, this topic may be useful to some of you because you will clearly see how you can do the same. Essentially, this is about purifying a space according to Vastu.
Beginning:
The most important thing was removing everything old from the floor. Everything was thoroughly swept and washed.
Then the concrete floor was washed with a special mixture that also contained cow dung from India.
Naturally, Vedic mantras were chanted throughout this entire time. Ganges water was sprinkled.
Next, I painted a large OM Sign directly on the concrete that had been washed in this way, using white paint. In the photo, you can see that the Ganges water, cow dung, and other auspicious ingredients had not yet dried, so the concrete appears wet in places (darker).
Then I performed a ritual to illuminate the space, invoking the energies of the Devas from the East, the Mahasiddhas, Mahayogis, Paramahamsas, and Avatars from the North, while also pacifying the Asuras of the South.
