Strange that we don't have such a topic in the School.

But there is a course: Description of all paid School courses

And a topic: What is the “Family Alchemy” package?

Have you noticed one strange pattern?

A person leaves a relationship…
Starts “working on themselves”…
And after some time — enters a new relationship that ends in exactly the same way.

Different faces — the same scenarios.

Why?

We have been convinced that we need to change.
Become better. More patient. More accommodating. Softer. More generous. Calmer.

But it’s a trap.

Because in most cases we do not change —
we move even farther away from ourselves.

We adapt to a new role.
Put on yet another mask.
Learn to be proper — but not alive.

But the truth goes much deeper:

You do not need to change.
You need to return to yourself.

You are already “distorted” — by family traumas, fears of loneliness, the experience of past relationships, and attempts to be accommodating.

This is not a path of growth.
It is a path away from the truth.

Love is possible only between two living and free “I’s”,
not between two versions of “what I need to be for people to love me.”

Everyone wants to meet a free person.
But almost no one is ready to become one.

That is why:

  • we “fix ourselves for the sake of relationships” — and lose ourselves;
  • we look for a new partner — and repeat the old lesson;
  • we change “in the right direction” — but never make it home to ourselves.

True transformation is not movement toward some unknown person.

It is a return to who you were before the distortions.

In the article, I examine in detail:
— why “changing” is a poor strategy for finding happiness in love;
— what term Stanislav Grof used instead of “altered states of consciousness,” and why;
— how to distinguish growth from running away from yourself;
— why past relationships often do not make us wiser, but merely more adapted.

Are you really changing…
or simply moving farther and farther away from yourself?

Think about it.

As you rightly said!
We put on masks.
We do not have the courage to admit to ourselves or acknowledge that our intuition is telling us, “This is not yours,” and say: “No! We have too many differences and differing views on many important issues.” But then—could it be the fear of being left alone? Or rose-colored glasses? Are we really blind?

Personally, I am probably not moving away from myself, but going deeper into myself—deeper and deeper.
And this is where it gets interesting: why?
Maybe because I am changing, or because there are no others who are as free as I am?
Although, of course, I am not completely free, but at least I am definitely free from relationships!

Sometimes it seems that some posts are written word for word about me)))
I had a very interesting experience when, outside of a relationship, for more than three years, I felt like myself. Right, free, alive, happy. Sometimes I even remembered my true self. I was finding my way back to myself—and it took a long time. And I didn't need anyone else for that. No second person. You feel like a whole person, and you can love whoever you want. And you don't need to tie anyone to a radiator at home for that.
And perhaps because of some old habit, or some imposed fear, like "growing old alone," after entering a relationship again, I really feel that I am betraying what I had been moving toward for so long. The freedom to be myself. The freedom to live the way I feel is right.
It seems like I should stay silent here, agree there, adapt somewhere else. But why??!!! But that doesn't make me happy at all. And more and more often I ask myself: what do I need this for, when I was happier before? Truly happy. Although sometimes it seems to me that my unwillingness to adapt says more about inner pride. Some things here are unclear. Perhaps it comes from my own lack of awareness and immaturity.
But it seems to me that this offers a great opportunity for growth.

A very interesting topic, Teacher!

The main point is that, as Einstein said, a problem cannot be solved at the level at which it arose.

And the first thing that comes to mind is: we need to change.

And it works.

But there is no depth to it.

What should you change into if you have already been changed?

And according to Grof, distorted.

And what will you find?

The same distorted personality.

And how do you intend to become happy under such circumstances?

When two distortions have come together.

Nowadays, harmonious relationships are rare. Harmony is possible among mature, grown-up, spiritual people who have already answered the question, "Who am I?" Relationships also require a common goal and cooperation.
An interesting fact is that animals are incapable of long-term relationships because of their level of development.
Except for SWANS. Perhaps God created them to show people that only pure beings are capable of relationships.
Although the most important relationship is a relationship with God.

When two distortions have come together.
I finally got an answer to the question of why there are so few happy people in marriage.
