The fifth day of the intensive
So, we have already reached the halfway point of the intensive. Today is the fifth day. This is the largest intensive yet, and the large number of participants is noticeable. And we continue.
First exercise
This is undoubtedly the most pleasant exercise. It goes like this: you need to go for a walk every day. Remember your childhood. Forbidding a child to go outside is the most terrible punishment. “Stay at home, you’re grounded...”
Simply horrible
And now everyone spends all day breathing the stale air of apartments and offices. You can’t get them to go for a walk.
I personally walk a great deal. I try to do it every day. I practically never use transport. Maybe just two or three times a year (when I call a taxi). I can walk across the entire city and back. On the way back, I often carry a small sports backpack with some purchases.
Even if the air where you live is polluted, you still need to go for walks. I live in a small town, so the air here is fairly clean.
I recommend at least half an hour. If you can’t manage half an hour, walk for 10 minutes. Even just walk around your building, at least.
Imagine that you have a dog that needs to be walked every day.
Walk steadily and don’t slouch. Pay attention to the evenness of your breathing. We have already covered all this in the previous days of the intensive. You already know it.
When I walk, I think about something. You know, there is always something to think about in life... And you will find something too. This is a good active meditation. Don’t think that you are wasting time this way. It may turn out to be the best time of the entire day.
Second exercise
I strongly recommend practicing Shavasana every day. You cannot imagine how important RELAXATION is in our age. Everyone is terribly tense. And believe me, such tension seriously damages your health.
I have described Shavasana many times. For example, it is available HERE.
