In our age, good eyesight may become a superpower, since the number of people wearing glasses is increasing at an alarming rate.

Once, the same was true of the Third Eye.

Now, for some people it sees at 1%, for others at 30%, and so on.

The concept of “good eyesight” is also abstract.

Some people see at 90%, while others see at 200%... And everyone within this range has “good eyesight”—the medical norm.

You all know me well as someone who was one of the first people on the internet to create a completely free course on Opening the Third Eye on the Your Yoga website.

But today I will explain how to improve the eyesight of those who already see well.

Strange, right?

glaza.png

Why would someone who already sees well want to see even better?

It is all because of what I said a little earlier in this article.

No matter how well you see, you can always see even better.

For example, you can go from 95% to 150%.

And while 99% of people cannot see beyond a certain distance, you will be able to.

That is already a superpower!

Everything can be developed.

The first eye, the second, and the third :)

Also, take a look at Eye health and computers [Магазин]

And do not forget that I have said many times already: Our eyes are not a part of the brain—they are the brain itself!

A little later, I will begin giving you practices here, in my School, on this topic.

I possess this superpower -)) (My irises are unusually large, too; perhaps that has some effect on my eyesight.) And I am very happy about it. Seeing various objects clearly and in every detail is an immense pleasure for me, especially when I go out into the woods to admire nature. And excellent eyesight is, of course, a great help in self-development, because you can examine various objects, analyze them, and so on, and arrive at the right, useful conclusions.

As you know, I am a strong advocate of both sports and physical exercise, and of a healthy lifestyle in general.

And it goes without saying that if you go to the gym three times a week for a month, your performance will improve.

That is an absolute fact.

Someone who could do 10 pull-ups will definitely be able to do 11–15 after a month.

That is how any proper practice works.

I should say that there is a practice that is not obvious to many people—the practice of worsening your eyesight.

Yes, yes, I am not joking.

In other words, to worsen your eyesight, you need to practice this practice.

And for many years.

This is a practice for worsening your eyesight.

And there is a practice for improving your eyesight.

Both WORK!

And just as in sports, you need to move forward step by step.

In other words, everything works; you simply need to practice.

In sports, you start doing 15 pull-ups instead of 10, while in the practice of improving your eyesight, you go from seeing at 30% to 80%, and so on.

Our body is designed to respond to practice.

That is why I named my Ashram with the ancient Vedic word Sadhana, which translates as “practice.”

Ashram—here: Announcement—The Benefits of Shantaram Ashram

There is a sadhana for everything.

To get something, you need to take it and do it.

If you want to learn to swim, run into the water and try to swim.

Rather than doing anything else—anything but swimming.

That is the essence!

If you want to speak English, start trying to speak English right away.

You can study grammar and other unrelated things for years and still never start speaking!

Start speaking English for a month—it will be much more effective.

The same applies to the eyes.

TRY TO SEE BETTER.

Only three words, but I will have to talk about this at greater length....

OM Shanti, thank you! I read the phrase “TRY TO SEE BETTER” several times. Some understanding came to me: I have always wanted to see perfectly, so where did I lose that? Can I be in a state where I can see absolutely clearly—more than 100%—and regain this strongly desired state of mine?

Even as a teenager, I began using my visual organs as an instrument for self-development and even nourishment. I suppose everyone has heard about how some people look at the sun and thereby nourish themselves. I do not look at the sun myself, but I use the same principle. My practice consists of taking some beautiful object, in my opinion, looking at it, and absorbing the beauty of the chosen image. Usually, these are digital images featuring beautiful forms. I can clearly feel how my energy is being filled with this beauty. Even my physical body becomes more beautiful. For example, everyone tells me that I have very beautiful eyes, which is logical considering the practice I came up with for myself. As a result of absorbing beauty through my visual organs, my thoughts change and, consequently, so do my actions—they become beautiful, thereby improving my karma, and so on.

This is a yantra for exercises. Concentrate on the left point (bindu) and, following it with your eyes, mentally guide it through the labyrinth. Once you reach the exit, immediately go back to the bindu, and continue like this from 10 to infinity. In ancient India, this yantra was even shown during childbirth; it was believed that the yantra could relieve tension and pain.

A lectern as a reading aid.

Чтение пюпитр.jpg

The book is at eye level or slightly below (the height can be adjusted), your hands are free, and your spine is straight. The lectern’s supports keep the pages from turning. Your body is less distracted by discomfort. If you sit on the floor with your legs crossed, you can read for a longer time than if you simply sat as in a training asana. In other words, you simultaneously loosen your hip joints; like any other skill, this develops with practice. A lectern can also be used for deity meditation practices or for practicing visualization of a chosen image, for example.
It is probably more effective to read spiritual and developmental literature with a straight back and crossed legs.

Brilliant. I have been using lecterns myself for a long time—they are a basic tool for holding sheet music. But lately I often come across lecterns whose supports do not hold the music or text at all, as if they were made merely for decoration and appearance. So if anyone is actually going to buy a lectern, pay attention and check that it works properly, so that the supports really press against the books, and so on. After all, a lectern without functional supports is almost useless.
