Today marks 108 days since I started doing this practice.
I also did it while on vacation, as I mentioned above. I recorded all the data in the notes on my phone.
At the moment, my standard result is 1 min. 46 sec.–2 min. 6 sec.
How long the pause is depends on:
the time of day I do the breathing practice (morning or afternoon); how tired I am and how well I slept;
whether I drank water before the practice or perhaps ate a berry (it doesn’t matter how long ago it was—the pause still becomes shorter);
whether I experienced emotional or physical overload the day before.
All of this has an effect. And consistency, of course, does too. I tried not to miss any sessions. But over the entire two months I was away, I missed about five days in total (randomly, not consecutively).
I got tired of experimenting with the number of cycles and breaths Now I breathe three cycles as standard, with 30–37 breaths, depending on my mood.
For a long time, I did the breathing practice to the ninth prayer in the languages. This had a very strong positive effect on me. Now I’ve switched to the Protective Tibetan mantra. I’m working with it for now.
It’s not impossible that I’ll return to the ninth prayer—I feel like I’m beginning to miss it when I don’t hear it for a long time. I think the changes it brought about need to become firmly established. Then it will be possible to accept new changes.
I’m continuing the practice. I’ll post here if anything unusual happens
