Yesterday I couldn't do the breathing practice—there was simply no time at all But I'm continuing.
Day 8. Morning.
3 cycles of 20 breaths, pause 38 sec.
I noticed that when I breathe, it feels like the sea—the sound of the surf, when a wave rolls onto the shore (inhale) and recedes (exhale). I can hear myself in this sea so clearly that, by the third cycle, I gradually begin to feel like the ocean
I'm gradually increasing the number of breaths. This doesn't really affect the pause, though. But increasing the number comes easily to me; I don't feel dizzy.
I noticed that deep breathing relaxes my diaphragm in a place that has always been tense and painful. There is still pain now, but it's different—it resembles the pain you feel when stretching muscles: it hurts at first, but you know that afterward the muscles will become more flexible.
I even had an encouraging dream in which I was shown that I had started doing something beneficial for a previously blocked and stressed-out part of myself. I asked myself: what new thing have I started doing recently? And this breathing immediately came to mind
