Greetings. Lately, I haven’t been able to get up at all in the mornings. I seem to sleep well, but I don’t feel rested at all. Over the years, my body has accumulated so much tension and so many blocks that it simply hurts now, but I haven’t been able to release it because I still haven’t found a practice that really resonates with me and that I could start doing regularly. It got to the point where my elbows hurt so badly that I couldn’t even lift a mug. The doctors could only shrug and didn’t know what to do with me, since all my tests and ultrasounds were perfectly normal. It wasn’t until I worked with a psychosomatic specialist that the pain in my elbows went away, and I have no problems with them now. I’m currently having problems in other areas, with a lot of emotions accumulated over the years—I admit it. On top of that, 20 years of working at a computer have also taken a toll on my body. My head is a separate story altogether—my head is always ahead of me. What do they call people like that—bigheads? It’s very difficult for me to control my mind. I think this new practice will be a great help to me. I really want to relax not only on a physical level, but on a deeper level as well, and finally let all of this go. I’m very happy and grateful for this opportunity!

Namaste, everyone! I was interested in the practice and what it is intended for. Yes, lately I often wake up feeling un rested, with some anxiety and a bad mood. I didn’t notice this before, but now it happens often. I should be rested after a night’s sleep, but sometimes I wake up with pain. As I wrote above, though, it seems that my psychological state is the main issue. There is a kind of dissatisfaction, no joy in the new day. And lately I haven’t been able to fall asleep right away either—I toss and turn, change positions, and just can’t get comfortable. I have various fears, and recently I’ve noticed that after some emotional stress or upsetting events, I sleep badly. Even when I’m not thinking about it, I sometimes can’t sleep, and the whole night goes that way. Of course, by morning I feel completely exhausted. Sometimes I try to relax using various techniques and meditations, but that doesn’t always work either. I would really like to try this technique; I hope it helps 🙏
By the way, I practice therapeutic techniques myself (medical ones). Once, while working with a patient, I became emotionally involved myself, and afterward I felt that my state had deteriorated—my mood was poor, I felt a kind of dissatisfaction, and I lost interest in my work. Then I had a dream: I was descending in an elevator with someone, going down underground, and where I needed to press the floor number, there were some threads or wires, and at that moment they broke. I realized that I had descended to a lower level and could no longer get back up. I tried somehow to keep the wires from breaking, and I understood that something had to be done—some actions had to be taken—to restore them and then climb back up. After waking up, I had the feeling that the dream had shown me what had happened to me. Maybe this technique will help me 🙏, because there are no coincidences.

Namaste!!!
The topic of relaxation is very relevant, especially at a deep level.

I’ve noticed that lately, because of the large number of intense emotions, both positive and negative, ordinary sleep is not enough to restore my strength. Work is very active at the moment, and my brain gets so wound up that it cannot relax during sleep. I go to bed with thoughts on my mind and wake up with those same thoughts and the feeling that I haven’t slept at all.
My dreams are very chaotic and restless, and my body is tense.

Of course, I use various relaxation methods to recover; otherwise, my body will break down. My favorites, which are also quickly effective, are inhaling essential oils from my palms (frankincense and the Serenety blend), staying in the KEY energy flow, and a set of body-stretching exercises.

If I do nothing at all, a nervous breakdown is guaranteed. In addition, my past experience has already taught me that health comes first, and no job is worth sacrificing yourself for the sake of illusory goals of achievement and success.

I’m very happy about the announcement of the new deep-relaxation practice. Perhaps it will provide this opportunity, because the slightest worry becomes the cause of a sleepless night, followed by fatigue, irritability, and an inability to get things done. This leads to a new wave of irritation and another sleepless night. In the end, it turns into systematic exhaustion of the body and a pile of unfinished tasks. The most interesting thing is that I find it difficult to practice even simple techniques such as yoga nidra. Very often, some negative thought begins to pursue me and triggers the same emotional response, throwing the system out of balance. You fall into a negative state, and goodbye, sleep. All attempts to relax and calm down no longer produce results—the mechanism inside has been set in motion, and sleep disappears as if it had never existed. Switching to reading or work no longer helps as it used to.

Hello! I did the practice—twice, in fact. I couldn’t fall asleep at night and decided to try it. It was a little scary that my hands seemed to have a life of their own; I was afraid to open my eyes and look at them, and my left wrist was aching a little. This was undoubtedly a new experience for me and my body—I never could have imagined that hands could move like that on their own, autonomously. After the practice, when my hands dropped, I fell asleep shortly afterward—hooray! This morning I decided to repeat it, and in daylight (even with my eyes closed), everything went much more joyfully. Again, my left hand ached a little, so apparently there is something going on on the left side. Today, by the end of the practice, I felt more relief and more joy; there was no fear. Both times, at some point during the practice, I began to feel hot. And—most importantly and unexpectedly for me—the practice lasted more than half an hour both times!! I expected it to last 5–10 minutes, but no—the hands just wouldn’t come down, and the instruction was not to lower them under any circumstances, so I waited until they dropped on their own. But the length of time absolutely astonished me. Overall, judging by how I feel, I consider this practice extremely beneficial for me, and I will continue doing it. Thank you ♥

This practice resembles Aliev’s Key practice, which I have also told you about and explained many times. I recommended it, and in principle I still can.
But of course, this is not the Key.

I saw the Key back in the 1990s, as I remember it now. It first appeared on television. I never missed an opportunity to learn something new, so while watching yet another program with a title like "Your Possibilities, Human Being," "UFO: An Unannounced Visit," and so on, I saw the Key. Of course, I immediately started trying it...

Just like everything else that came my way.

Although there was little information in the past and you had to search for a very long time, painfully, people were somehow more honest. They told it like it was and put their souls into it. Buteyko, for example, and Aliev with the Key. Not like now.

But this practice is different. Similar, though.

Today I did the deep relaxation practice several times. My hands stay up for a very, very long time. And the most amazing thing is that it’s comfortable to lie like this :) The second and third times, I looked at my hands—the right one held up wonderfully and looked like a birch twig :). But the left one looked like a chicken’s leg . And it was bent rather unattractively.

By the way, this is also a kind of diagnosis. I thought the problem was only with my left leg, but it turned out that it involved the entire left side of my body! Now I have something to work on :)

On the other hand, by the end of the practice, such sensations appeared in my upper back and sternum... a kind of bliss, perhaps. Very, very pleasant.

Now I’m looking forward to the evening so I can really relax—truly relax)
Thank you for the practice!🙏

I have already done the practice twice: in the evening before bed and today during the day. I wanted to write a review first thing in the morning, but I held back and repeated it once more. It was very interesting how my hands behaved; they held themselves differently. I didn’t look, but I knew it. When I opened my eyes, I noticed the difference too.
A few minutes after the practice began, I felt the muscles in my nose relax. It’s right there—hands and nose—yet that’s how it was. I wore glasses for more than two decades, and there were times when they slipped down when I bent over or when I was sweating, so I had to hold them on my nose without using my hands because my hands might be occupied. Yesterday I realized that the very muscles I used to hold my glasses on my nose were relaxing. I have been wearing contact lenses for about four years now, and I cured my chronic sinusitis a long time ago, but apparently the tension remained somewhere deep in my nose. And so, the muscles in my nose simply melted; they became like water and relaxed completely. It became very easy to breathe, and I felt incredibly comfortable in the area around my nose. I fell asleep very quickly.
Today I repeated the experience during the day. This time I felt tension and relaxation in the muscles of my lower abdomen. Apparently, it goes through the whole body: wherever there is tension, it releases. I didn’t feel my nose, but after the practice I again felt lightness and comfort in the area around my nose.
Thank you, Om Shanti, for this gift.

I’ll be happy to try a new relaxation method.

I use audio files with specific frequencies and listen to them before bed. I massage my face and am trying yoga nidra—to relax the body step by step. I also noticed that the diagrams from the practice of developing the right hemisphere help me find a state of calm. I also use the audio files from the topic about Robert Monroe.

During periods this winter and spring, when I danced a lot at home and also drew, I was much more often in a state of flow, calm, and a sense of connection with space. During that time, I rarely felt tension.

With the arrival of summer, this state somehow disappeared unnoticed. Although it visits me from time to time, I sometimes feel a certain tension inside and think about my tasks (problems). And I can’t always simply relax—that’s true. Sometimes fear or anxiety comes out of nowhere, and if I fail to notice that moment and let it go...

Two years ago, things were worse, when I lived in conditions where there was more stress every day. Back then, only acupuncture helped relieve that tension from within. So now I am much calmer, but after reading this topic, I naturally wanted to find out whether I could relax better, especially during periods when stress suddenly comes over me. Releasing tension layer by layer sounds wonderful.

Thank you for another practice!

Namaste, everyone! I express my gratitude, thank you, and bow deeply. Om Shanti! I have been with you on the Your Yoga website, Om Shanti, for more than ten years. I am grateful to you for helping me discover the truth. The Your Yoga website and the Mahapurna school offer many practices that have truly changed my life for the better. In the past, I experienced unfounded fears and anxiety. After my mother's death, I had nightmares and worries in my sleep. And then I found myself in the pure space of the Your Yoga website. Here I understood and accepted that you become what you think about. My life began to flow in the right direction. Together with you, I adopted vegetarianism, intermittent fasting, regular dry Ekadashi fasts, early rising for sadhana, daily yoga exercises, breathing and energy practices, and meditation. You feel yourself in a state of inner resourcefulness. And most importantly, the infinite Divine presence constantly guides, protects, watches over, and inspires me, while constructive ideas reveal everything I need to know. It is very important for me to learn to relax on a deep level.

I am calm. My mother calls me (or used to call me) thick-skinned. I can sleep wherever I am put 😂, even on the floor. I learned to relax through yoga about 10 years ago. I can fall asleep in the dentist's chair. I have known him for a long time, and I love and trust him🥰. Three years ago, my husband went through COVID severely and completely lost touch with reality. Then he had a stroke.
I lost my way. I began gasping for breath from anxiety. A neurologist prescribed a medication, and it seemed to ease up. But something inside me had become unsettled. In the morning, someone in my head speaks loudly, exhausting me. Nishi's exercises help. I shake my legs and arms until it becomes funny😂. Synchronizing the right and left hemispheres is a good thing. But when I notice myself growling at and becoming irritated with my loved ones, I realize how much I am not accepting what is happening to me and my loved ones. And this is where I could try your Om Shanti practice—or perhaps a little earlier, before going out to meet people. ♥
I am infinitely grateful to you, dear Teacher, for your Your Yoga website. My life has been connected with it for a very, very long time. It is wonderfully suited to a life spent searching for the “miraculous.”

Namaste!
About seven years ago, I had an experience of “encountering” fears and even a couple of panic attacks. But my experience of depersonalization, which had passed many years ago, and the practices from the Your Yoga website quickly helped me understand what was happening, control the process, and bring it to an end. Of the practices I did then, these helped a lot: “Absolute Vedic Protection,” “Hanuman’s Protective Prayer,” the “Instant Evolution” practice, and Wim Hof breathing (all from the Your Yoga website). Thanks to regular practice, all of that—and anything similar—is now firmly gone.

However, I still often felt inner tension. I noticed long ago that OM Shanti places a very strong emphasis on relaxation, constantly talking to us about it, and that almost all of his meditations are focused on it. So I began consciously observing myself throughout the day and noting “tension.” It turned out that there was a lot of it in my body. How it manifested: at different moments I caught myself with raised shoulders or stiff arms; there was often tension in my abdomen, but especially often I noticed tension in my face—when falling asleep, upon waking, during the day while doing things (cleaning, for example), and even during practices. I also began practicing self-massage and doing many alpha and theta meditations by OM Shanti. This improved things considerably as well.

At present, I feel tension mostly because of the speed at which things are happening (or so it seems to me). Sometimes even writing a useful post or review, or interpreting a dream, happens in “extreme tension”—as if out of nowhere. It manifests as freezing; I may simply sit in silence and “let go” of the tension. (There is one benefit to this whole story with tension: tracking it also helped me “identify” deep-seated perfectionism in myself and work with it.)

What helps me now:
- consciously “simplifying, simplifying, simplifying...” my activities, and trying to do more of what I enjoy; it has often happened that the whole day passes in practice.
- my BrahmaSadhana
- R. Monroe’s meditations (at the School) (Focus No. 10, all the audio files), along with a strong interest in mastering the Method. (By the way, it was precisely through R. Monroe’s audio files that it dawned on me that it is simply “impossible” to rise to the Levels while tense, which means there is no progress in development.)
- “Old Meditations in a New Way”
- KEY, the Gratitude practice
- S. Veretennikov’s poems aloud
- physical activity

I understand that life processes cannot happen without any tension at all, but “taking tension under control,” not allowing it to become “pathological,” and balancing it in time is very important to me. Therefore, I am very happy and, with great interest and gratitude, will discover OM Shanti’s new masterpiece featuring a relaxation practice, and will be equally happy to recommend it to those close to me.

The first time I heard and saw anything about relaxation was from my mother. She was very tired after work, with two children, traveling by two buses and picking me up from school. My mother could relax while standing on the bus. I didn’t understand how she did it.
At 14, I began relaxing through meditation, although perhaps I didn’t fully realize it. There were times when I needed to come out of meditation, but I didn’t feel people waking me or talking loudly... this was when I was 18.
While I was married, relaxation was not something we talked about. Then the children came along. Chanting mantras, bhajans...
Only over the last five years have I begun to notice that, in order for something to shift, relaxation and self-acceptance are necessary.
And the Ashram helped me with this through meditation, breathing, and the OM Shanti relaxation instructions. A clear and understandable explanation. Plus Monroe meditations. I wouldn’t say that I am very good at relaxing, but I try. When I feel tension in my face or neck, I remember and relax again.
There are many stressful situations in life, and I have almost learned to perceive them properly. But when I can’t, I listen to meditation music and bhajans. I relax before going to sleep. It helps me sink into a deep sleep.
The other day, I came across a video by a level-headed person, and in the lecture he mentioned peace of mind, peace of body, and relaxing the body. To achieve results in practice, the term relaxation comes up very often. Without it, we cannot achieve a certain result.

Namaste! I did this practice twice yesterday😀) The state of my arms was interesting, of course. The right one stayed rigid like a post, while the left seemed to be pulled away, and in the end it was the first to drop. After finishing the first time, the first thing I noticed was the sensations around my hip joints—there was distinct movement for several seconds, something I had never felt during any relaxation before. Then something began moving in my chest, later shifted down to my lower abdomen, and I simply lay there observing sensations that were new to me. It was interesting. I did it once more at night, and this is what I noticed: again, the same left arm tried to move away, while the left side of my face became tense. The right arm was again rigid like a post, the right side of my face was calm, while the left side of my face kept twisting into all sorts of expressions. I felt this kind of separation in my face for the first time. In the end, the left arm dropped first. After that, I didn’t have any similar sensations in my body—just complete relaxation. But my face really surprised me😀 I will definitely do it at least before bed.

Hello everyone!
Overall, the day is going quite positively, and for the most part I feel good.
But if I assess whether I have any tension, I would say yes, I do. It often turns into anger—especially when I’m hungry or when the children start making a lot of noise.
I understand that I can’t relax through willpower alone. Now, after reading this topic, I thought that it would be a good idea to do some relaxation practices.
I sleep soundly and well. However, over the past few days I haven’t been able to get enough sleep at all—perhaps my body is lacking something, or maybe the weather is affecting me. Here in Tambov Oblast, it has been overcast and raining constantly for almost a month.
Panic attacks and unfounded fears aren’t an issue for me, thank God; I’m far removed from them.
Sometimes I experience apathy—I simply want to be alone, lie down and rest, soak in the bath, read something online, or watch videos on YouTube. I can message friends—and I often do.
I suppose I unconsciously came up with this way of relaxing for myself 😊

Hello! This topic has always interested me. As long as I can remember, I have never been able to relax properly. I specifically practiced various techniques for this, “immersed” myself in meditation, and took courses, but for some reason it has always remained rather superficial. I really want to experience a deep immersion—perhaps in that state, some images and answers to my questions will come to me.
Because I am overly impressionable and emotional, I hardly ever dream at all, since my sleep is light and superficial, and when I sleep, I hear every sound. I read that with this kind of sleep, the body and head do not rest.
That is why, whenever I see something that might help me try to immerse myself, even just a little, in another state, I really want to experience those feelings and emotions that are accessible to other people.
I recently joined your community and still haven’t quite figured everything out, so please excuse me if something isn’t right.

What a cool practice!!! :D👏👏👏👏👏👏
I first tried it last night before bed. My hands stayed up for only a very short time (I was even surprised that it didn’t reach two minutes), but lowering my hands was an extremely fascinating process. The left one moved backward and quickly lowered behind my head, while the right one remained raised for a while, then began to descend so smoothly and slowly (in the direction opposite to the left hand) that it was as if someone were lowering it on a string. What surprised me most at that moment was observing that my hand did not belong to me: with an effort of will, I could have taken control of it, but I didn’t want to exert my will at all. It felt as though the hand wasn’t mine and someone was moving it, very gently... And when the hand had almost completely lowered alongside my body, it seemed that it should fall under the force of gravity, but it felt weightless and lowered very smoothly. Immediately, I felt warmth and a kind of joy inside! A smile “jumped” onto my face by itself, and only afterward did I remember that the instructions said, “smile”:) Then I fell asleep and couldn’t track what other changes were taking place in my body.

Morning came. I remembered yesterday’s experience and decided to repeat it with a fresh mind. This time, my hands remained raised much longer. They swayed slightly in rhythm with my breathing, and I had to keep an eye on my mind because I noticed it trying to make them stay still and not move. But I simply had to observe. As usual, I shifted my mind to my breathing... After a while, my hands began to lower. This time, the right one lowered first: behind my head, just as the left one had yesterday, and very quickly—practically dropping. The left one remained raised for quite a while. But after some time, it also quickly lowered backward, behind my head.

Pressure immediately began in the area of the third eye. It was uncomfortable to hold my hands behind my head, so I lowered them alongside my body and began observing the internal processes. And there was plenty to observe! It was very similar to the changes that occur in the body after working with dreams! When I transform my dreams and take the resource from them, my body likewise signals the changes through various sensations. This time, as I already mentioned, there was pressure in the 6th chakra first, followed by heat in the 7th chakra. Very soon, the 1st chakra reacted, and goosebumps ran up my right leg to the knee. It all ended with movement and relaxation beginning in the areas behind my ears. And this is very valuable to me because I know I have tension there, but massage doesn’t relieve it:( Yet here it seems to be working itself out! And while I’m writing this message, the work in those areas is still continuing. Moreover, I feel that the process doesn’t seem close to ending—the energetic movement and relaxation are spreading to my lower jaw (apparently there is tension there too), my throat beneath the chin, and then will probably move somewhere farther...
This is so extraordinary!!! 🤗 I will definitely continue! From the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU, Teacher—this practice is a wonderful gift! I never expected to like it so much!! 😍😇🙏🔥

Well, I finally found time to write a post.
What can I say about tension? Of course, it is present in every one of us—more in some, less in others.
It is greater in those with high sensitivity and lower in those with reduced sensitivity, but one way or another, we live in a stressful world.
Knowledge of Human Design helped me greatly—or rather, I should say, it gradually taught me how to cope with stress. I studied myself as a system and began to understand why I react so emotionally to different situations: that is simply how I am built, and that’s all there is to it.
Thanks to this knowledge, I learned to live relatively calmly. OM Shanti was also the one who introduced me to this knowledge, and I am very grateful to him for that 🙏
But since this is a world of physical manifestations, there are plenty of stressful situations in it, and they cannot be avoided. So, of course, I will be glad to receive a new practice from the teacher 💞
I know what panic attacks are from personal experience. I’ll put it this way: they are terrifying. It is a state in which you think that’s it—you are dying irreversibly—and the fear is simply overwhelming. Yet all your physical indicators are normal! I am still amazed that this can happen at all, but it does.
And yes, distraction from this state helps. For example, I would start washing clean dishes or run around the apartment while waiting for the ambulance. I was shaking all over and had the feeling that I could jump out of the window. In short, it was horribly frightening. I think it is the cumulative effect of prolonged stress.
But while reading the Monroe topic, I realized that this could also be an increase in vibrations.
In any case, having a new technique at hand certainly won’t hurt. 😉

Good afternoon, everyone!
Yesterday evening I tried doing the practice. I concentrated and did everything as written. I held my hands up for a long time and tried to do everything as described. The entire practice lasted about 15 minutes for me, I suppose; I did not time it precisely. My arms did not drop, so I continued the practice. I did not particularly notice any blocks surfacing during the practice. I thought I should do it several times, since the tension may be rooted very deeply in the subconscious. I will do it again today, not quite so late in the evening. I will try to pay attention to how the practice goes during the day.

Namaste!
I have done the practice several times over the past two days. I really like it for its accessibility, but not for its “simplicity.” It is indeed cumulative, and each time you understand it more and more with your body. I still haven’t found that important point when the hands are raised and relaxed, but I’m getting close.
I will continue practicing and observing the changes!
Thank you!
